Well, after several years on Blog Talk Radio, Your Dunamas Life life is moving on.  God had called us in a different direction and we are answering that call. Have you ever talked to a new mom who had recently ensured a traumatic birth? Trauma can come in many forms: overbearing doctor or nurse, unexpected or emergency medical procedure, unplanned c-section, etc. Trauma is different for everyone. Did you know that DADS can experience trauma dieting the birth of their child? It may or may not be as obvious as the trauma that a woman may experience, but the affects can be just as real. Guilt is something God has given us to let us know that we've done something wrong.  Everyone knows what it feels like, and nobody likes it.  Believe it or not, that's a good thing.  Guilt should lead to repentance.  If guilt leads to repentance, that's good.  If feeling guilty leads you to feeling ashamed, that's not what God had in mind.  God wants guilt to lead you to Him.  Dr Pauline and Catherine have some good insights from God's Word about where guilt fits into a dunama life.

Doulas are a large part of the birthing - natural birthing - community.  More and more people in the U.S. are catching on that having a birth assistant like a doula with you during and after your birth can be a very helpful thing.  Listen this week as Dr Pauline and Catherine talk about this important part of the birth process.

Gut And Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) is about improving the health of your digestive system by healing your gut, replacing harmful bacteria with beneficial bacteria (with probiotics, etc), and getting rid of toxins.  This way of eating is more about healing your damaged digestive system than simply changing what and how you eat.  One great description I found of GAPS is "completely pulling back from all those things that exacerbate our already over-loaded, tired, lethargic, toxin-ridden, out-of-balance and damaged system, so that our gut can truly heal."  Dr Pauline and Catherine discuss this almost mysterious syndrome and what it means for you in a Dunamas life.
