out image of God being this cosmic grandfather—this gentle old man—in His glowing white beard and glowing white robe, sitting on some glorious marble throne in some far-off heavenly abode. And that may make good Hollywood or imagination, that may make God appear as some all-tolerant, all-loving, all-accepting deity—but it doesn’t make good Bible—which is where we find the TRUE picture of God.
