While desiring to love and be loved, Angel had within her an alter ego whose purpose was to keep others at bay. Not wanting people to "discover" who she really was, Angel used many destructive devices to maintain a safe distance from friends, family, and loved ones.

It was through recovery that her love receiver was mended. Now she shares her experience, strength, hope, AND love with everyone she comes in contact with!

There are at least two types of higher power in a person's life. The first one is the one that's taught to a person in their youth. It's not a guaranty that we keep that one as we mature.

The second source of divine power is the one we come to acknowledge as we attain our own wisdom. In this episode, Angel describes the one that was force-fed to her, contrasting that one with the high power, which she calls "Great Spirit". The second is an integral part of her recovery, and the peace it has brought into her life!

Recorded on Father's Day 2019, Angel takes this opportunity to share some of the challenges she faces in dealing with her biological family. She also describes the love and support she receives from her chosen family - those not related by blood.

Angel ends this episode with a call to action aimed at those who feel the need for love and a dose of experience strength, and hope. She also extends an invitation to those who wish to join her on her continued quest for spiritual enlightenment.

In this episode, Angel discusses the perils of high expectations as she continues to adjust to her "new normal". If left unchecked, these oversized expectations can grow into resentments, putting her sobriety at risk. She also continues to take you with her on her journey to healing from spiritual abuse.

In the second half of this episode, Angel revisits some of her childhood dreams, and how she still strives to make many of them come true. Especially the ones that involve her using the gift of a magnetic personality to help others in need!

Recorded on Mother's Day 2019, Angel begins this episode describing the challenges she faced trying to be a good parent in her pre-sobriety days. She shares the losses she incurred because of her addictions, including the relationship she had with her daughter and granddaughter.

With great pride, Angel now gladly tells us about the restored relationships with her daughter, and now, TWO granddaughters. She also invites those who face the same challenges she faced to reach out - help is close by!

In her second episode, Angel addresses how it feels when the shoe is on the other foot. She tells of how she found herself learning to cope with situations similar to those she put her loved ones through before she embraced sobriety.

In the second half of this episode, Angel takes us on the initial steps in her journey to discover the God of her experience, not the God of her understanding. Also, she begins to reveal that wicked sense of humor that has friends and family find so appealing!

It's always a joy when people find their passion. That thing they would do if money were no object and they could not fail. In her first episode, which was recorded after she celebrated her first year of sobriety, Angel lays out the topics she'll cover in the first season of her podcast.
