Is it possible for diet changes to help someone recovering from drug or alcohol abuse? A recovering addict teamed with researchers to find out. Adam Sud has used a plant-based diet as a key component to his continued ability to maintain sobriety for many years. He wanted to see whether it was possible to replicate the success. He and lead researcher Tara Kemp, PhD, join “The Weight Loss Champion” Chuck Carroll to talk about what happened when patients at a rehab facility began eating a plant-based diet as part of their recovery program. The results of the study appear to offer hope to those struggling with drugs, alcohol, and depression. Join Chuck and Dr. Neal Barnard for a special live recording of The Exam Room LIVE in Los Angeles on March 30. Tickets can be purchased online.
