What's kickin' chickens? It's been a wild ride these last two years but now it's time to say our goodbyes. In this episode, Jen and I cover the disastrous general election business. We scold volunteers and voters alike (as is our salty way) and then we take a lovely stroll down memory lane to discuss our favorite moments from the Can We Fix It podcast. All salt and cynicism aside, it has been our pleasure to bring you the best and worst stories from the General Assembly. We are eternally grateful that you continued to tune in, episode after episode, to hear our takes on what's going on in RI politics. Welcome back! We've been away for so long! It's time to tell you all our favorite thing: we were right! About a bunch of different races. We were also very wrong about some others. Tune in to hear us get salty about races big and small across the state.

This week Moira and Jen make their predictions for the winners of some key RI races. They talk about who should win, who WILL win, and why. Tune in to see if you agree with their choices and to see how close they are to being right in just a few short weeks.

This week, we give you some insight into how the campaigning process works for incumbents, and why it's not going well for them this year. Jen and Moira also cover the list of people fined by the Board of Elections for campaign finance violations (yes we know we're hypocrites) and explain the audacity of some of these expenses. Well, it's time we talked about the rules around here. Being a woman means there are things you cannot do with your body, and in this episode Jen and Moira cover as many of those things as possible so that you can be sure you're being a woman the "right" way. We cover everything from Roe v Wade being overturned to the sinful twerking of a sitting senator. Sit down, pour a drink and learn the list of things women should not be doing today.

This week, we sit down with the most amazing woman ever to run in Senate district 34, Can We Fix It's very own, Jennifer "The Volpinator" Douglas. We discuss her priorities once elected, why she blows the competition Elaine Morgan out of the water, and what she would do if she were ever the Dictator of Rhode Island. This week's episode hits a little different. There are no jokes, no co-host, no witty banter. The episode is shorter than most, and sadder. This week, Moira talks candidly about how hard it is to live in a country that cares more about the rights of gun owners than it does the rights of children to go to school without fear. This week is about reminding ourselves and our listeners that it doesn't HAVE to be this way, but rather, living in a country with a mass shooting event every week is a distinct choice that is being made. This week, we don't ask for subscribers or patrons or for you to testify at the Statehouse…but rather this week our question is "How?" How do we carry on waking up, packing our lunches, and heading off to work knowing that we as a society have decided that 19 dead kids is just "business as usual?" Unfortunately, we have no answers for you, but you should tune in anyway.

This week we have a bunch of delicious political dessert stories so we hope you saved room. We talk about the gubernatorial race, the Democratic party trying to fundraise off of Roe V.
