Today's guest is Paul Shapiro, CEO and Founder of The Better Meat Co, Sacramento California. And he is here with a novel way of producing meat without harming the animal, via the Fungi Kingdom
Continuing our month of sustainability and preventing climate change did you know?
As the world has proven to be a tougher place to live in lately, one of the new hot button issues for environmentalists is the impact of livestock on the environment.
It seems that every day another report or new study is released that sheds light on new ways that raising livestock is negatively affecting the environment.
I know I used to not think twice about buying commercially prepared sandwiches of cold cuts at the grocery store for my lunch, but I sure do now.
The main take away points:
- The future of meat production is to grow meat without killing any animals
- If we can create alternatives to killing animals for food, we can create clean, sustainable, healthy food for the planet.
