In this week's episode, Millie and Sophie discuss a study carried out by Abertay graduates Esther James and ShaunyJenkins.

For the study, each participant judged sixteen face-pairs, indicating how much better a leader they felt their chosen face to be compared to the other face. It was found that both men and women evaluated women more negatively as a leader if the image suggested she was wearing a lot of makeup.

What counts as 'too much' make-up? In a world where women are expected to be 'done up' at all times, can women win?

In this episode, Lauren and Millie discuss Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion's WAP. 
WAP went to number 1 in the Billboard chart but that hasn't stopped conversation of controversy around the track. As Dr Jen Gunter wrote for The New York Times, "I don’t think "WAP” is going to smash the patriarchy, replace sex education or end predatory feminine hygiene practices, but talking about it is an empowering next step."
The level of discussion/outrage about WAP rarely takes place with male rap. Why is it when women are direct with their sexuality, they're met with anger, disgust and extreme discussion?
