Listen Later

Kimberly, Sonia, and Jonathan answer a question from Doug in Green Bay, Wisconsin:
“I’m the CEO of a recently acquired firm putting together my leadership team There is clear gap around Communication skills between the team I’ve recruited and the legacy leaders I’ve inherited. What is the best way to bridge the gap for the legacy leaders?

Kimberly asks Doug what is his strategy for leader development? Engaging a facilitator, coach or mentoring are possible within the strategy.

Sonia recommends identifying the communication gaps between the groups. Is it about focus i.e. tactical vs. strategic or way of communicating concise vs. verbose as examples.

Jonathan advises Doug to identify what aspect of communication skills need to change which will help him select the right expert to address the gaps.
