Overview: False assurance is such a dangerous reality. The people assumed God was with them. Moses told them He wasn’t because of their rebellion. But they still thought they could get their blessing despite their lack of faith. They were wrong. They went without the Lord and were intensely defeated. We can’t make up for our sins on our own. We need the Savior.

Passage: Numbers 13:1-14:38 Date: July 20, 2025 Overview: God commanded spies to be sent to scout out the land of Canaan. They had made it there. But the spies came back with a warning in their report about the size and strength of the inhabitants. Only two – Joshua and Caleb- recommended seizing the land as the Lord had said. The rest didn’t. The people rebelled. God was angered. Judgement came. – 40 years of wandering. They let fear overwhelm their faith.
