Because of the faithfulness of Mordecai and Esther, not only were the Jews rescued but now they saw victory over all their enemies in the land of Persian. The unseen God gave them victory and moved so they would institute the Feast of Purim to always remember the power and presence of the unseen God and the beauty of those who are faithful to Him.

But the unseen God shows her favor through King Xerxes and, not only is Haman outed and executed, but the plot against the Jews is eradicated. The unseen God powerfully used a young woman to save a nation.

The unseen God quickly turned the tables on Haman and sent him reeling. No strategies or no might is any match for the one true God.

Passage: Esther 3:1 – 4:17

One of the king’s wicked officers – Haman – wants to eradicate the Jews, especially Mordecai. He concocts a plan to do just that. By God’s grace, He positions Mordecai to learn of the plot. He had also positioned Esther to be able to do something about it. Esther had a decision to make. This was it. Would she be willing to die for trying to rescue her people? Faith requires action. Often, that action seems risky and difficult. This is the mesh point of faith – where faith, life and risk all meet.
