In the first episode of this Canada's Crawlspace spin-off, Canada's Creatures, we head deep into the frozen forests of Canada where a terrifying legend has stalked the land for centuries--the Wendigo. Part spirit, part monster, and entirely fearsome, the Wendigo is said to embody insatiable hunger and human desperation.

Is it a cautionary tale--or something based in reality?
