Canal Confessions

This week on Canal Confessions, we're covering a little bit of everything. We open with the big question: would we actually want to be famous? If yes, why? That leads straight into a Prince Harry and Meghan Markle debate, where we hash out whether we're actually fans and get into our honest thoughts on the two of them. Then one of us dishes on a recent trip to Bavaria, the highlights, the food, and the fairytale castles. We take a detour back to high school where the usually punctual one shows up late for once, leaving the late one sitting alone at a table right in the high school meanies. A little poetic justice, a lot of confessions.

This one's a little bit of everything (in the best way)! We're channeling our inner Dolly Parton, attempting the NYT's "36 Questions That Lead to Love" on each other, and somehow ending up on a dinosaur tangent because why not. We're swapping our go-to travel must-haves, then slowing it all the way down for a cozy-night-in kind of chat. Plus, we take a trip down memory lane back to Boston. The food we still think about, wandering through the Gardner Museum, and all the little moments that make Boston unforgettable. Equal parts silly, sentimental, and delicious.

This episode, we're soaking up everything we love about summer in Rochester! We're talking lazy lake days, feeding our favorite canal ducks (who definitely remember us at this point), and our never-ending Disney obsession because is it really summer without a little pixie dust? Plus, we get real about our baking adventures this season: the glow-up wins and the "well, at least it tasted okay" flops. And we wrap things up with all the excitement building for an upcoming anniversary trip to Boston. Grab a snack (preferably something we didn't bake) and settle in!

In Episode 2, we’re talking about moving to NYC, learning how to navigate the subway (and surviving the horror stories that come with it), coffee, the deeply controversial Half Moon Cookie debate, getting randomly accosted by a woman on the street, running into people we went to high school with, and… and approximately 47 stories that probably should’ve stayed in the group chat.

It's happening...our very first episode! We finally have a podcast name, mostly because "Upstate Update" was already taken (devastating, we know). In our debut episode, we spill on how we landed on Canal Confessions, take a trip down memory lane through 29 years of friendship, and share the chaotic, occasionally traumatizing stories of trading upstate NY for the concrete jungle. Then things get really serious as we throw actual journalistic integrity out the window to debate the most pressing issue of our time: should Emily end up with Gabriel or Marcello in Emily in Paris? (There will be yelling.) We close things out by attempting and spectacularly failing to recommend you some shows to watch. You're welcome, and also we're sorry.
