We had the opportunity to bring the one and only freedom thinker Kmele Foster onto the podcast to discuss a bit about freedom, what's going on in society, and the disconnects we are seeing.
He was kind enough to come visit us on July 4th, but it was kind of perfect to sit down and chat on such a sacred American holiday where we remember and revere the sacrifices and vision of our Founding Fathers.
On this episode we welcome Antonio Garcia Martinez.
You may have seen the recent discussion surrounding his dismissal from Apple shortly after being hired. The controversy surrounds a book that he wrote years ago, Chaos Monkeys, and the small group of outraged employees who petitioned to have him immediately fired for supposed thought crimes.
So, we ask the man himself and try to get an understanding of what is really driving this intolerance of words and past works.
Charles Johnson is our guest today on this episode of the Canceled Podcast.
He's written more than half a dozen books, for himself and others, while also co-founding multiple companies that involve genetics and facial recognition technology.
Charles has also bee the target of Cancel Culture.
In this episode, he helps us understand what happens to an individual while they are facing the wrath companies and special interest groups who target people they disagree with.
We are taking a break from just speaking about current events and recording this as we are just hanging out having fun playing around.
You get to learn a little bit about things from where we grew up too.
Lee returns to California and we catch up on our recent trip to Reno, Nevada where we hosted 14 people at Reno Gun Range to teach them introductory firearm safety and functional training. We also treated them to some machine guns just for fun.
We touch a little bit on why we are focused on gun education and how anti-gun laws have been forms of racism to keep minorities unarmed.
Today was golden. We were fortunate enough to catch up with John McAfee to speak with him about a few aspects of his life and to glean some advice from his experiences.
It was a real experience, as you'd expect and we are super excited to share it with you. If you think you know what to expect, you're wrong--unless you're expecting the unexpected.
It's a special episode in that it is Cyan's birthday. I give her a gift that she sees for the first time during this episode and we talk about a story with a wolf that decided not to eat her along with sexy pin-up girls.
We find out that sometimes people smoke crack to calm down, why you probably shouldn't hug people on the street, and going back out into the world to spend time on the golf course while forgetting, for a moment, that there is a pandemic going on.
May the 4th be with you!
We sat down after selling Star Wars toys for charity and caught up on some of the events going on and chatting about the tattoos we never got and the obsession that Cyan has with diagnosing skin ailments.
I'm also giving away a giftcard to one lucky listener to dine at the local German restaurant Süppenkuche so we can keep supporting local businesses during this difficult time.
We've got huge news. We finally got a paid sponsor! So, I guess that makes us real.
In this episode, Cyan and Lee talk about Joe Biden on Twitter(sort of) she finally watching Bill Murray movies that we have all seen except for her, and our favorite little curmudgeon in San Francisco.
We hope you enjoy it and that you get a little break from the crisis who shall not be named...
