What are you supposed to do when you get the news that someone close to you has cancer? How do you make your friend feel loved without over-stepping? Chemo Buddies founder Jill Kincaid asked for input from cancer survivors to put together a list of dos and don'ts. Jill is joined by Susie Gates for this informative and fun episode that will help you connect during a difficult time.

Michele Adams was told she had 6 months to live. That was 8 years ago and she beat the odds. But her cancer returned, her recent Chemo treatments have not been effective and she once again has been given 6 months to live. 

Chemo Buddies founder Jill Kincaid joined Michele while she received an iron transfusion recently. They talk candidly about how to cope with the diagnosis. Michele talks about how she let her young children know about the cancer. The conversation will provide hope to anyone that listens as they share about how faith has pulled Michele through the most difficult times in her life.

Kate Moore joins us for a conversation that covers a variety of topics including her perspective that cancer was a short chapter in her life and it will not define the rest of her life. 

Robin Heironimus Talarzyk shares how her sons treated her to some special activities (like ziplining in Vegas) after she finished chemo. Now she's looking for a camper so she can travel more.

Michele is driven to continue her busy lifestyle including running. She is joined on this episode by Lori who formed a close friendship while Michele while she was going through chemo. The two not only share the common bond of cancer but they're both also married to police officers.

Amy Hight is an eighth-grade teacher who talks to her students about what she went through being treated for breast cancer. She tells us about the students volunteering to participate in service projects to help cancer patients.

Jill Kincaid and her sister Karen started writing the proposal to place volunteers in the chemo infusion center while Karen was being treated for triple negative breast cancer. When cancer took Karen's life, Jill finished the proposal and founded Chemo Buddies on August 22, 2011.
