Despite a grade school career aptitude test that indicated farming would be her best bet, Jessa always knew she wanted to be a writer. Her early works include “MY POMES,” a poetry chapbook rampant with unicorns and misspellings, and a torrid teen cowboy romance which her editor-mother asked her to revise and resubmit, changing the love scene to “soul mates.”

After close to a million final draft words and nearly triple digit rejections, she sold her first novel, an urban fantasy romance, thanks to the 2007 Rose City Romance Writers’ Golden Rose writing contest. She still pinches herself daily.

She lives in the Pacific Northwest where the potential for up to 120 days in a row of measurable precipitation keeps her at her computer (well, that and the chains). Like many writers, she lives often in her head and appreciates interaction with people whose dialogue she doesn’t have to make up and revise for clarity.

A few theories on how I ended up this way…..

I am going to have to place some of the blame of Ian Fleming and the James Bond series. I loved the spy/thriller/action movies as a kid, as still do for that matter. (Daniel Craig is by far the best Bond) I wanted to grow up to be a spy, have cool toys that I could kill people with, know martial arts well enough to disarm a room full of bad guys, and make love to beautiful woman after beautiful woman. It seemed so cool to me as a kid, and I think became an engrained part of my psyche at an early age.

Do not blame my parents; I come from a very stable childhood, and my parents were together until I was twenty before divorcing. So it’s not that.

I was in two long relationships (five years each) in my twenties, and was committed in both. I lived with each of them, and with the second girl even looked at rings once or twice before she ended things. I would consider them healthy, normal relationships, so thats not it.

In my past life, I was Editor in Chief of two print magazines, Nature's Wisdom Magazine and Full Moon Rising Magazine. I took BAs in Journalism and Literature from SUNY Brockport so my education supported my career passions. During my stint as mag editor, I founded my state's first-ever whole foods pantry, The Natural Food Cupboard. I was tapped to write content for a PBS television show, and I eventually co-hosted that show on camera.

During that time, I organized and emceed holistic events, ranging from networking evenings to large scale expos. I was a radio disc jockey, a professional psychic, and I taught metaphysical and paranormal classes.

Paul Italia is 26 and currently lives in South Beach Miami making all of his dreams come true. Paul is originally from New York and is 100% Italian. Paul graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. While vacationing in Florida two years ago he fell in love with the city and decided to stay. Pete Michael Stellato is 25 and currently lives in Florida. Pete originally from Springfield, MA followed an ex-gf to Florida and wound up staying. He comes from a big Italian family, but chose to leave home at the young age of 15 growing up in some rough circumstances Pete still managed to go straight into college after high school and is currently attending Nova Southeastern University and studying exercise science. Pete enjoys fitness, hip hop dancing and reading. He enjoys positive thinking books such as The Secret and The Four Agreements. A friend of Ian’s introduced him to well-known photographer Jorge Freire and his modeling career has taken off.

Alexis Morgan grew up near St. Louis and received a B.A. in English from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She and her husband have made the Pacific Northwest their home for more than thirty years, where she launched her career as a writer. She is published in contemporary romance, American West historicals, and currently writes paranormal romances for Pocket Star and Silhouette Nocturne. Her book, Darkness Unknown, is a finalist in the RITA's, the top award in the romance genre.

attacks and can't stress enough the importance of having regular family drills so every

member of the household is zombie-ready. One never knows.Make sure the sofa is ready to

push in front of the door. be clear that if a member of the family is on the wrong side of the

door when the zombie action goes down. They remain on the wrong side of the door. The

greater good, etc.

I live in Springfield, Oregon in a zombie-free home (except when meeting deadlines) with three

cats, Amiga, Diabla, and Ember and have two sons and three grandchildren and two

granddogs. I hope one day to write a masterpiece like my father's parody of Jaws, a work

written on yellow legal paper entitled Beak, the story of a rogue twenty thousand pound

Cornish game hen and the men who seek to end its deadly rampage. If i write anything half as

funny (and this involved tears and gasping for air), I'll be happy.

Born and raised in Plymouth, Massachusetts, Jimmy began his active lifestyle at a very young age; from neighborhood sports of football, street & roller-blade hockey, to 2 years on a local soccer team as their team goalie. Jimmy then joined his school's cross-country track team, and also ventured on to the wrestling mat. With all the sports and activities he participated in, he found his biggest liking in weight-training. Along with his high school friend Dave, Jimmy vigorously worked out almost every day during his final years of high school... which led the beginning of who Jimmy Thomas is today.
