His experience as a former All-Canadian volleyball player, Sports Performance Trainer and over two decades as a High Performance Volleyball Coach gives him incredibly unique experience and remarkable insight for motivating and mentoring youth athletes.

Trey Anthony is the first black woman in Canada to have a television series on a prime time network. Her work includes the plays, ‘da Kink in My Hair and How Black Mothers Say I Love You. She is co-writing a feature film which is an adaption of her play entitled, How Black Mothers Say I love You, which is supported by Telefilm Canada and Film Wales.  

Trey is a former writer for The Comedy Network, Global TV, OWN and has recently joined the writing team of the television show, Unconventional, created by Emmy nominated, Kit Williamson. She has won four NACCP awards and has delivered a popular, viral TED talk. She is a contributing writer for Huffington Post. Her new book, Black Girl in Love (with herself), published by Hay House is now available!

Today we are joined by Meaghan Marton who identifies herself as a community change maker, without one specific label to identify what and who she is.   

Meaghan believes she is a “wearer of multiple hats.” An animal lover, a leader, a volunteer, a “hype woman”, a friend, and many things in between. She has found herself in a variety of different volunteer and career positions after graduating in 2015 from the University of Windsor from Psychology & Women’s Studies. 

She travelled in a van across North America for 5 months in 2018, which led her to finding her greatest challenge to date, her dog Sunny.  She spends her days on an ongoing adventure with her dog, enjoying the sunshine, the outdoors and promoting positivity and compassion to all. 

Meaghan lives by the motto “be the change” and feels she embodies that every opportunity she gets.

Johnson hails from Virginia originally but now calls Kitchener Waterloo his home away from home. He has been away from his hometown for quite some time, playing professional basketball overseas for many seasons before landing a spot here in Canada. After dedicating time as a player with the NBL Canada he now commands the attention of his team as their head coach.  

Not only is Cavell Johnson a coach on the court, he is a coach to many as he mentors youth by being grounded in a foundation of love and positivity. At 6'8, he no doubt towers over most but this gentle giant advocates for those who may not feel they have such an impactful presence.
