  Good morning, my friends welcome to Mondays version of cannabis daily. This is your host Elliot lane, as always thanks to producer Aaron Thomas, or like we call them around here, 80 for making this show work and bending it for the platform. We are here to give you insights into what to look for on the public markets of cannabis, as well as just industry topics as well, and tons to go over this morning.

So let's dive right in first. Per marijuana moment. Representative ed pro mutter continues to fight for the passage of safe banking through the Senate. By having conversations with Senate majority leader, Chuck Schumer and Senator Cory Booker about how to add equity provisions to the bill. As we know Chuck Schumer and Cory Booker have been very adamant that they are going to pass social justice legislation before passing safe banking.

 And bills that would benefit the corporate side of cannabis. As most people in cannabis do know though safe banking would directly benefit smaller businesses as much as it would benefit multi-state operators and larger cannabis growers. So that being said, ideally, representative Perlmutter it's successful, and this bill can take a step forward in helping.

 Those people bank and being those on the west coast and other legalized states avoid robberies and other horrific things that are happening right now, Wisconsin, governor Tony Evers, vetoed a bill calling for an increase of penalties for marijuana extraction. He instead calls for legislation instead of further criminalization.

Also premiere won a moment. If you don't subscribe to their newsletter, it's fantastic. We also cover many of marijuana. Stories on Benzinga. So props to governor Tony Evers in Wisconsin per Veridian, Capitol cannabis stocks are up on legislation buzz but they are pretty reticent to, to hope.

As we have been here many times before GTI or green thumb industries, one of the biggest cannabis stocks out there opens to more dispensaries in Virginia bringing their total in the Commonwealth to. Software effective solutions corporation or on the OTC pink SFW J acquires med Cana. And he's looking to fight for market share in the Colombian cannabis and CBD oil sectors.

They did say they want to be a leader in that space. There are some who would put the kibosh on that rather quickly, like clever leaves like Florida growth Corp, like Kyron life sciences, like several in the Latin American model. But it's nice to see others jumping into that space and competing and providing competition, Leafly holdings, a merit or merger Corp, or on the NASDAQ MC MJ announced the closing of their business combination on Friday.

Trading will commence today on NASDAQ, under the ticker L F L Y. Finally, they are here. We can finally invest in Leafly directly. Leafly has shown accelerated growth and leading into the merger, including 40% increase in total ending retail accounts in Q3 2021. So Leafly has been doing very well. They're continuing to reach a larger base, I think millions more every quarter.

 This is definitely one to keep on your watch list. If not look at for a long-term investment Cresco labs, CR LBF opens their 15th, Florida dispensary or 49th nationwide, you may think how are they a tier one multi-state operator when they have such a non-competitive number compared to the other tier ones, but they are a massive competitor in the wholesale side of cannabis.

Air wellness opens their 45th Florida dispensary. Weedmaps M a P S on the NASDAQ debuts, a digital commercial spot timed to the Superbowl to address the current advertising restrictions placed on the industry. I'm not going to tell you too much, cause I feel like I won't do it justice. But.

Everything that I've read about it. It's going to be hysterical. Definitely check that out. That's M a P S on the NASDAQ Weedmaps unrivaled brands, you and RV expands their product offering with a distribution agreement with Potter's cannabis company, unrivaled will offer Potter's vape products within their distribution network.

And last but not least, I'm sure most of you have heard if you are in tune to the cannabis industry, Pennsylvania issued a mandatory recall for hundreds of cannabis. Products. This is specific to certain vaporized medical marijuana products containing added ingredients that have not been approved for inhalation by the FDA Cura leaf, and truly where the companies with the most number of products were called.

Kim rivers spoke with Alan Broxton. About this saying only a few skews were affected, not at all close to their entire product pipeline for the state. And just as an added bonus for all of us here, tilt holdings and Gary Santo released a press release saying that don't worry. We weren't a part of this.

Thanks to Gary. Thanks for for reassuring their consumer base. If I'm looking at this saying, Hey, what does all this mean? How can I get some good information about this? And look to make some money off the cannabis space. I'm looking at Leafly for me, cannabis IPO is, have not been super successful over the past year.

 But that being said LFL, Y will most likely see growth over the course of legislation over the course of everything. That the cannabis wave rides on. So they're going on my watch list for sure. Air wellness, unrivaled brands continue to expand on the other side of that. I'm watching truly, even curious to see how the stock market reacts to their product.

  Good morning, my friends, it is feel-good Friday. And this is Elliot lane, host of cannabis daily here at Benzinga. You will be joined once again by Aaron Thomas producer here in a little bit to drop a few headlines on us from around the space. But first and foremost, we're going to do what we do every week, day, dive into some industry news and talk about what is happening with your investors.

Companies in this space first and foremost, let's go to tier one multi-state operator, Columbia care, CCH HWF on the OTC exchange. They open their next cannabis dispensary in West Virginia, expanding to the great state of West Virginia at first. Five planned locations in the state. The next three are expected this spring.

They are of course, going to be battling true leave there who has already had a presence in West Virginia for several months. Now I'm not going to say a year yet because I'm not sure it's been a year, but. They'd been there for a hot second. So it'd be interesting to see how they do get out for the top spot for market share in West Virginia.

Next up silver spike investment, quarterly pricing. It's IPO at $14 per share for a total of around 6,071,000. 429 shares. They're expected to begin trading today on the NASDAQ, under the ticker S I C a little bit of background about silver spike net proceeds from the offering will be used for further investment in the space.

SSI is a newly organized specialty finance company formed to invest across the cannabis ecosystem through investments in the form of direct loans. Two and equity ownership of privately held at cannabis companies. So SSI C is going to be a wonderful investment vehicle of sorts, obviously a direct investment, but they will be an interesting vehicle for private cannabis shareholder.

Next up Dr. Reddy's laboratories or nicey listed R D Y will acquire a German based cannabis company. Nimbus health Nimbus is focused on wholesale in the German medical cannabis market. They also educate pharmacists about medical cannabis products. So Dr. Reddy's laboratories a pretty well known by a tech biotech diving into the international medical cannabis.

Industry. So keep an eye on them and maybe a new stock for us to watch ya. Big news of the day yesterday, safe banking passes the house for a sixth time. It will. Now the overarching bill, the text was a part of should be passed today as well. But the safe banking act is now often this. Off the Chuck Schumer and squad.

Once again, let's all cross our fingers. Say a prayer, send good vibes. Do what you gotta do. Turn around three times and do jumping jacks, whatever you feel might help here. Let's hope safe banking makes it a little further. AKA The Senate speaking of a Senate, New York Senator filed legislation to encourage recycling of marijuana packaging by bringing back said packaging to any dealer that sells the same brand type and size.

The caveat here being you cannot get a recycling refund in New York state. If you did not purchase the original product in the. And this is not the first time I have heard about a initiative like this week. Actually there's a company I believe in Illinois that is looking to do the same thing with retailers.

So packaging recycling may become a norm in this industry, which of course sustainability is always a plus for companies. And those that jump on this bandwagon sooner rather than. Could be fan favorites, Washington governor is proposing to you is $125 million in marijuana tax revenue to aid communities targeted by the one drugs.

I love that. I think most of the cannabis industry will appreciate that it's going back to the community. And finally, for me, before we get Aaron Thomas over here, canopy growth Corp had some photos come out that said they were moldy plants in their facility yesterday. Benzinga and other sources reached out Mario Castillo, their VP of manufacturing says these photos are completely out of context.

There was an irrigation malfunction at a facility and the plants would not have passed a quality control test and will have been slated for destruction. That is quite the tagline slated for destruction, going to be Elliot lane slating you for destruction. A mold is not your regular, according to Castillo for large cannabis companies.

 So they do have protections and standards in place. For that to not be the norm or for it to not reach consumers. All right. Y'all, that's all we're going to do today. If you want a winner for me, I'm going for Columbia care. I'm going for keep an eye on SSI, see today and what their IPO does. And finally let's give a round of applause to our D Y for being another mover into the international cannabis scene.

Now. Ladies and gentlemen, drum roll, please. Aaron Thomas. What's up brother? What's up Elliot. You are too kind that intro. Oh man. Oh man. Hey man. It's all with the voice. Maybe one day. They'll get me a soundboard by one day. Hey. Got it. I'll work on it, but what's up zinger, nation. Good to be back one of my favorite parts of the week I missed out, let's say, I think I missed the last two weeks.

Yeah. We had a new, what, once this year we need to get back on track. We need more air in comments. Yes, and that's my fault. But we are back at it and I'm happy to be back. So let's get right into it. The NFL awards, $1 million to study impact of cannabis and CBD on payment on pain management, the NFL, the national football league today announced the award of $1 million in research funding to two teams medical researchers at the university.

California San Diego and university of Regina, the studies will investigate the effects of cannabinoids on pain management and neuroprotection from concussion and elite football players, respectively. Very interesting. Yeah. I liked that a lot. I think ultimately a lot of this has been studied on.

 And as it's of course being studied, but I think the NFL investing in this is the actual storyline. And I think the NFL perhaps getting on board and getting behind this will ideally encourage all professional sports leagues to do the same. And obviously there's a huge issue with  long lasting brain injuries and issues for football players.

So this, for one, if they are investing in therapies and medicines for football players to live a healthier lifestyle and healthier life during and after they play there's no. I see that could possibly be an issue there. So props to the NFL, I love that $1 million. Isn't going to get them super far and I'm glad they're investing in it.

Yeah. I think it's also important to note that a lot of NFL players, they get into cannabis after. After they retire or after they stopped playing and they say they come out and they say that they use cannabis during their whole NFL career, but they had to hide it. So hopefully this study allows more open use of cannabis and using it as a recovery method.

I love that. Drop the stigma. Let's get ready. Yes. All right, let's get onto the next one. This is the, this is all I got for you guys today. I'm going to keep it short and sweet, but this one's a little, this one's a little, a cool story. Can pets get high off secondhand cannabis smoke? So the story came out originally in 2019, but it was updated.

Just last week. So if you ever wondered if your pets can get high, the answer is yes, but they don't like it and it's not good for them. Massive strides have been made recently when it comes to understanding our animal friends, the men, their inability to self-report obviously makes it impossible to ever know what's actually going on.

 So second secondhand cannabis smoke may seem innocuous. Does. Do you know, anyone who legit gets high from secondhand smoke for, but for pets, it's different and much scarier pets, animals, especially cats and dogs have more cannabinoid receptors than people. So they feel the effects of THC more strongly.

I didn't know. I know that educational, although I have to say, I'm not sure. Inherently tried to get my dog. Hi. But that being said this is a great study. Don't keep your pets near you when you're smoking or don't shock on your pets. Let's just not. And while there's not much evidence that CBD oil is bad for pets.

If there's just as little, that is good for them. It would be wise to consult with a vet before undertaking any course treatments. So we're also keep in mind. Y'all  verify that the CBD products you're giving your pets are actually. Tested in real, there was a lot of products out there that probably aren't.

 But there are some great companies out there. So just do your research CBD on limited has some great pet products. Probably I would imagine CBD MD, maybe Charlotte's web a lot of the major CBD companies probably do. So just do your research there, but in terms of pets being high the, I, for whatever reason, I can't get the image of a.

  Being super effected by fireworks and eight fireworks, animals just hate fireworks.  Yeah, I would imagine things are heightened for them in ways. And for me, I don't know why I'm just having a lot of empathy right now about dog Shanghai and there being fireworks subjects.

I'm going down a deep rabbit all year. But those. Solid don't get your pets high. And the NFL is jumping into supporting the cannabis space and research. I love it, my friend.     What is up friends, welcome to cannabis daily. This is your host Elliot lane. As always. We got our producer, Aaron Thomas powering this thing to success and Benzinga thank you for the platform. Welcome to product launch Thursday. I think every company in the industry launched a product this morning. We'll cover some of those, but we do have some big news to dive into first.

Mississippi is on the board you off. I had an air horn. I blow it. If I had a drum roll, I would've played it before. But Mississippi governor has signed in to law, the medical cannabis bill for certain medical conditions Al it's. If I'm looking as an investor at this market, I get excited about companies that have dominated in other medical states, such as for.

Hint, hint, maybe some truly TC in NF dives into this market. Maybe perhaps one of the smaller competitors like C N T M F both on the OTC, jumping into this market. There's several that you can look at. I would be surprised if a big MSO, like truly. Or cure leaf. Wasn't one of the first to jump in though.

So congrats to Mississippi. Welcome to the party. Y'all I'm super glad to have ya. But yeah, it's good news. It's great news for the industry, especially when a Southern state like Mississippi, whom I would think would be one of the first to say that. Says, yes. All right, job. Moving on next leaf solutions.

Let's give a round of applause to Paul Peterson and team over there. Oil F or O I L F on the OTC enters Ontario. They have made massive waves with their brand glacial gold. This has been hugely successful for them and they are pushing it to the Bram here. They are very Gung-ho and heads down on intellectual property.

They have tons of patents internationally, I think 90 plus if I'm not mistaken. So obviously this is a company that's planning for the longterm. So keep an eye on O I L F I it's always been a watchlist. I think they are an up and comer and end of last year, they were one of the more successful licensed producers in Canada in terms of growth to their stock price.

So do keep an eye on them. ACB Aurora cannabis obviously one of the most well-known names in the cannabis space launches a new CBD product. Here we are. We're into the product launches. Y'all this is through their subsidiary release. Or Arielle IVA kg seven hemp-based products. It looks like they have a CBD speed stick plus other things.

So ACB continued to expand their product line as always another dominant player in the medical market, but not one that will inter Mississippi, anytime soon, obviously acreage holdings, AC R H F launches, a craft brand Superfly. Successfully in Illinois, Ohio and Massachusetts per their press release this morning.

And the first three months of the brand launch, they reached circa 100 retailers. They also expanded their vape products and introduced a new solventless gummy in key markets as well. High tide, taking a break from the product launches just for a second. Don't worry hit on the NASDAQ. Was delayed in filing audited, annual financial statements, analysis, management, discussing discussion et cetera.

That was announced a few days ago. Raj, their CEO came out on Twitter to say that this was due to personnel issues and unexpected personnel issues. He did say Nokia. This will not happen in the future, they will be better prepared for anything of the sort. I think high tide is a wonderful company.

This doesn't really slow my bullishness down for them CGC or canopy growth and other big name, especially in the Canadian market and internationally they're subsidiary ACE valley launches, new cannabis beverage products and CBD hard candy products. Exciting everybody over 70 CBD MD or why CBD on the NASDAQ launches a new functional gummy line and harvest health.

The truth. Subsidiary RVO F has harvest TC internet of course is truly launched this new transdermal CBD cream last but not least. We're going to finish with some non product based news for all of our sakes. Raymond James analyst, Joseph out to Belo maintains a strong buy on Scotts Miracle-Gro S M G.

However, he does lower the price target from 1 95 to 180 5. At the time of the recording of this podcast, they were around $141. If I'm looking at movers IPR has had a pretty interesting past day and a half. Hexo is on my watch list right now. Urban growth. Surprisingly is down. I think they have released some pretty amazing news, but also had a pretty interesting last day and a half in the markets winners for me today.

I'm looking at O I L F or next leaf solutions. I am that's really my winner for the day and SMG. So those two SMG and oil F keep an eye on the markets. Y'all it's been interesting.     My, my Mike what's up. It's good hump day. I hope I don't get fined or sued for that. This is Elliot lane, host of cannabis daily. Hope you guys are having a wonderful morning starting your day off, obviously with news and insights on the cannabis markets. Thanks as always to Aaron Thomas for producing the show.

And Benzing for hosting. We want to bring you daily insights on what to look for in cannabis stocks and the industry as at large. So let's dive right in tons to look at today. AgriFood, they make news about once a week, so we should come to expect them here. A G F Y listed on the NASDAQ is set to acquire lab society.

This is a company specializing in distillation and solvent separation solutions for Canada. Extraction. I did not understand those words either. But I do know there are very necessary parts of the processing part of cannabis oils and more, this further enhances Agrifoods position as a leader in extraction alongside their massive hydroponics arm, genetics.

Basically is becoming an all around partner to cannabis operators and helping them grow their business at, in magnanimous levels. So props to Raymond Chang and team over there, edge HGF why continues to be. A very strong company to keep on your watch list. Mike Tyson in his Tyson, 2.0 launch will bring knockout O G marijuana flour to Michigan dispensary.

So if you are in the Michigan market or you'd like to take little road trips to Michigan, make sure you keep an eye for knockout OJI on the shelves. That is Mike Tyson's flour, the safe banking bill. As we covered earlier this week, the text was added to a broader legislation bill for the house rules committee.

 It did get approved. So that's wonderful. This will be the sixth time safe has made it through some sort of house vote. It will now go to the house for to be voted on there. So props to representative ed Perlmutter, who is pushing this through as fast and as, as much as he can, before he goes out of this.

Delta nine. This is DLT and F on the OTC announces a 32 million non-dilutive credit facility with connect first credit union connect. First in the news a lot lately with their loans to cannabis companies especially in Canada, obviously Delta nine will utilize capital to optimize its capital structure.

So there we go. This includes a 23 mortgage $23 million mortgage. 5 million acquisition facility and the 4 million authorized overdraft. So a Delta nine seeking some lovely capital flow there. Next up we have Cura leaf. Can't forget about them. When they make news, we try to never do that. For who? All C U R L F on the OTC forms a partnership.

Rep sleep. This is a retail execution software meant to help CPG teams with data-driven insights. CPG of course, being consumer packaged goods, which is the direction cannabis has been headed by many perspectives of the industry. But is a well-known brand or well-known company. They work with brands such as Kraft, Heinz Adidas, L'Oreal beyond meat, Mattel, and AB InBev.

 So really interesting and unique and powerful partnership from curely. They're truly TC NNF F celebrates a statewide rebrand in Maryland. This comes on the heels of rebranding, their Pence of Pennsylvania. Dispensary's. They're looking to get the truly name out there. Have a consumer and loyalty base.

 I believe they're referring to as true leavers. It makes sense to me, Columbia carry to the same thing in Florida as as we mentioned before, alongside this and. Many cannabis companies are doing similar things at the moment. Urban gro UGR on the NASDAQ, announces another expansion to their stock repurchase program by another one and a half million.

This builds upon the already in place 7 million that was previously expanded earlier in January. So they are there. This of course is not a guarantee that they will repurchase the stocks, but it is an expansion. And if they do repurchase that as quite interesting, especially for shareholders  of you grow a few earnings news here, we have American green.

It says E R B on the OTC revenue is up 20% year over year in Q2 2022 to 515,000. They did release some. Of expecting it to grow another 55% in the next year, by the Q2 20. That, that ends next you do. So interesting young company there keep an eye on them. But they do have a pretty well-known cannabis brand that seems Africana, ABC and F announces Q4 2021 earnings, a record revenue of 1.3 million.

What's interesting here, this. Fourth consecutive sequential increase of at least 3,000. So in four quarters, they keep growing by at least 30%, a super impressive 20 20, 20, 20 21 revenue is around 3.3 million up 133% year over year. And finally, last bit of news. We'll call out for the day flora growth Corp with some interesting news here, seeking approval from I N V I M a.

This is basically the Colombian FDA they're seeking emergency use authorization under COVID 19 protocols. This will be for a cannabinoid based formula that they're researching with preventative applications to help with COVID-19. Super interesting. They're also seeking IP at the same time. So keep an eye on FLDC obviously probably not going to move it today.

Maybe it will, but it that's the first, I believe for cannabis in Latin American market. So everybody, this is cannabis daily. Thanks so much for tuning in my winners for the day. Good morning investors happy Tuesday. I hope you are having a terrific start to your day. Welcome to cannabis daily. This is Elliot lane, your host, as always thanks to my guy, Aaron Thomas, for producing the show and Benzinger for the platform. We are here to bring you your daily dose pun intended of cannabis, news, and insights to help you understand the industry, just a tad more when you put some money into it.

So let's start right off with. Big activity that was announced this morning, tier one multi-state operator Verano holdings. They are listed on the OTC. V R N O F is acquiring a, another MSO multi-state operator. Goodness growth holdings, GD NSF for 413 million. In stock. This is huge for Verano. I don't think you can understate enough when you can understand when an MSO buys another MSO, but let's dive into what this means for Verano.

And they're adding New York to their portfolio to what is already an incredibly strong east coast gathering of states, which includes New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and marriages. So they are pushing further into New York. There are only one of 10 vertically integrated licenses in that state.

It includes delivery which I believe they can also deliver to the met stadium, the U S open stadium and several other widely big or big tourist areas. They're also obtaining one of two licenses in ministry. This includes a cultivation license and eight active dispensary's going back to New York, that includes one cultivation facility, four active dispensary's and four plan dispensary's they're also obtaining assets in New Mexico.

This is huge. For Verano in terms of expansion  I think completely worth what they put into it per from the press release upon consummation of the acquisition. Veranos footprint will span 18 states with active operations in 15, including 17 cultivation facilities totalling 1.3 million square feet of cultivation capacity, and 111 active dispensary's.

Congratulations. Congratulations to Aaron, congratulations to the entire Verano team, especially the ones who worked on this. I think this is a fantastic merger between two very solid cannabis companies in the United States. So let's not make this a podcast just about going on this.  They're obviously the winner of the day.

No offense to anybody else who has good news Hawthorne gardening. This is the subsidiary that focuses on cannabis hydroponics for Scott's miracle, grow wisdom on the nicety, nicey as S M G. I promise you guys, I can talk their Q1 sales. Fall by 38% to 191 million. This is due to a couple of things.

First off they're lowering pricing of led lights to be more competitive, but also this is driven primarily by an oversupply of cannabis grown in state authorized markets that has led to a temporary decline in commercial cultivation activity. So their services have become. Less necessary as there has been more product in inventory.

 So companies are not expanding as much. I would imagine so Hawthorne, I don't think this will be the trend for a company like them. SMG, obviously very profound in operations. And I expect Hawthorne to bounce back. This was all. Pre-announced I believe somewhere around like January 4th.

 So not really a surprise either, so I don't expect their stock to fall a huge amount today. Greenlane NASDAQ listed G N L N they're 2021 fourth quarter. Preliminary revenue will be between 55 and a half million and 56 and a half. This is up 54% year over year. Obviously mainly driven by an increase in sales of Greenlane brands and the Kush co merger.

So Greenland, continuing to benefit from that massive combined merger between Costco and Greenlane. Canopy growth. Everybody's favorite and or least favorite canvas stock. I still love them. I do down in the bottom of my heart, NASDAQ listed CGC, their bio steals subsidiary presents its sports drink to nearly 15,000 new stores across the U S you cannot argue their footprint.

You can not argue their reach. They're incredibly strong when cannabis bounces back, CGC will be right there. I no recommendations here, but I am an investor. And I do expect Ghanim canopy to be a player in this industry. Decibel cannabis DBCF has been very loud recently and very aggressive in terms of their news flow.

They closed a 54 million debt refinancing with connect first, increasing its access to debt by 20. Million dollars, Canadian, innovative industrial properties. I IP R launches a 300 million senior note offering, which will be due 2027. This will be used to invest in specialized real estate assets in regulated cannabis markets, nothing new there in terms of what it's used for, but another 300 million.

 Of capital for them to play with Chuck Schumer, our favorite Senate majority leader maybe tweets about meeting on social equity happening for the marijuana industry today. He tweeted this yesterday. I believe, or he tweeted this morning for tomorrow, regardless of what happened this week.

 But he has always put social equity first. That could be a huge benefit and boon for you. When looking at this industry, it could be a negative for you when looking at this. But that being said he is continuing to work in, in that order. So I don't expect him to jump on safe banking, just due to this simple tweet that being said, this is Elliot lane.

Good morning investors. This is Elliot lane, happy Monday, host of cannabis daily from Benzinga. I hope your Monday was filled with relaxation with parties, clubbing, reading, a book, whatever you want to do. I hope you are prepared to make a ton of money in the cannabis space this week and moving forward.

Ideally, ideally y'all but regardless, we're here to bring you cannabis insights in news every day for the cannabis space starting us off, we have the one and only representative ed Perlmutter, Democrat from Colorado has vowed to pass marijuana legislation before his time in office is up. He will not be running again. So he has limited time. He did file the text of his safe banking act as an amendment to broader legislation going before the house rules. On Tuesday. So thank you to representative Perlmutter for fighting for this industry. And then we all hope he has success, especially with safe as that as an important bill for the industry, Ohio cannabis activists gather enough signatures to force their lawmakers into the discussion.

The lawmakers have four months to act. Otherwise the campaign activists can gather more petitions to put the issue on the November ballot for voters. So either. Ideally this time or not this time, ideally later this year, we will have some progress in the Ohio cannabis market grow generation or G RWG on the NASDAQ exchange, acquires horticulture.

 This acquisition will strengthen grow generation supply chain globally, as well as add distribution for private label products under their umbrella grow generation was a darling stock in the industry. Really for the first half of 2021 and probably for the end of 2020 they followed the. At large and had a ref 20, 21 as most cannabis stocks did, but there are still a very strong company fundamentally, and I definitely recommend keeping them on your watch list.

On the other side of the cannabis market coin, we have Hexo which received notification from NASDAQ. It is not in compliance with the minimum bid price requirements. A stock should not be below one us dollar for 30 consecutive trading days. There will be no immediate effect on the stock, but the company has 180 calendar days.

From the date of notification to regain compliance. I believe the date will be set in late July if I'm not mistaken, but they may have another 180 days after that. Or they may be delisted just don't know at the moment, but not great news for Hexo, but at the same time they have been affected by what has been a pretty difficult time to invest in the cannabis industry and for cannabis stocks.

So while I don't think it's a hundred percent there yet. It is still somewhat concerning for Hexo investors and shareholders. Sproutling Sr UTF on the OTC announced Q3 2022 earnings. They did settle outstanding debt of over 145,000 Canadian dollars to do the company issued 2,908,968 common shares at a price of 5 cents per share.

The PR did not include any information about adjusted. Or revenue using cannabis during pregnancy doubles, the risk of having an underweight baby. This is re as reported in the independent and syndicated to Yahoo finance. 60,000 mothers were part of the study, which found that cannabis users were prone to give birth to smaller and underweight babies by their measurements.

This is under five pounds. Eight ounces. It was also linked to premature birth as well, which was up 28% in the study. This is very concerning. I think that being said, please go read the whole study. There is quite a bit in. In terms of who is more prone to use cannabis during pregnancy. So there's a lot of information in the study but overall it is not looking like it would be recommended to use cannabis while you are pregnant.

 So please do your research be educated about it. And if you are pregnant, I recommend taking a look at this study or know somebody who is pregnant, of course, the New York post, or as originally published by Fox news. Say cannabis may impair driving ability for up to four hours. This is per a study published in J a M a psychiatry from the center for medical cannabis research at the university of California, San Diego.

The study was 191 cannabis users wide. It's not a huge. That being said, I'm pretty sure most cannabis users would say duh to this. But that being said, I think there's a lot of gray area with cannabis use. I don't think you are restricted from using cannabis if  it helps us a performance enhancer or helps us as a focus nutrient or whatever you may use it for.

But I would say cannabis. Makes you high in any way, shape or form is probably what they're referring to. But I would be surprised if the New York post or Fox news included that in their publication or any publication for that matter. I'm not going after those in particular, but I think there's a lot of gray area in that reported in these recent studies, forefronts FFN T F on the OTC closes an acquisition of new England cannabis corporation and really strengthens their Massachusetts footprint.

 Probably one of my winners of the. Followed by another winner for me, Kyron life sciences, K H R in F on the OTC opens a new medical cannabis clinic in Columbia. They are a fast mover in the Latin-American market. And I think as Mexico opens, they will be a winner. So if you're talking to me about what I'm watching today, I'm watching forefront.

I'm watching Kyron life sciences. I'm watching grow generation.  I'm, if I'm a shareholder. I would be concerned about Hexo maybe keeping my eye on what Spratley management is up to, but overall, I hope this helps. Check out some amazing investment opportunities, but we are here to talk about cannabis, news and stocks. We have tons of it today. Let's dive right in high tide, as you all know, one of my favorites, especially from the Canadian market, they are listed on the NASDAQ exchange under H I T I, they released their earnings for Q4 and fiscal year 2021.

Their Q4 earnings are up 12% sequentially from Q3 to 53.9 million Canadian dollars the entire year. It's up 118% from 2020 to 181.1 million. So obviously doing things correctly over there. The quarter includes about 12 days of contributions from blessed CBD, which was a recent acquisition. However it does not include any contributions from new leaf naturals yet.So that will increase the bottom line very soon. They're expecting Q1 of 2022. So the quarter we're currently in to exceed 70 million Canadian dollars. So a nice, huge jump there from 53.9 outside of CA Canada, their revenue run rate on the year increased from 11 million at the start of 2021 to today.80 million. So there are international opportunities in the us and beyond are really starting to perform very well. This past fiscal year earnings 150 million of it was from Canada. 30 million was from the U S and 1 million internationally. Their gross profit is up 108% year over year. So I know that's a lot of time on one company, but high tide had a impressive year.And I think this year will be even more impressive. They're really a fantastic company with, I believe now 109 brick and mortars gage cannabis.

That's G a E G F on the OTC has a standing partnership with cookies in Michigan and they will now expand it into Toronto. This will be the 12th dispensary in north America, operated by gage and the first in Canada.For cookies. So their partnership continues to grow gauge, of course, under the current acquisition with Tara Senti. RSSF so both great stocks to watch today on this news. Cause this is nothing but good for these companies.

Humble and few. H U M B F on the OTC signs, a three-year agreement to distribute Berntz BRN T burns top selling hexagon, bongs, and burnt design accessories.So adding to the product portfolio for humble and fume for at least three years they are an exciting up and coming distributor of cannabis and cannabis accessories. So good news there for that.

California bill now filed to accelerate cannabis conviction, expungements big news here for me as this includes about 34,000 people. According to high times that have yet to receive expungements for past cannabis-related convictions, that number is massively high in my opinion. I'm not saying it's wrong at all. I'm not. Deep into that space, but that does seem like a massive number for just cannabis conviction. So will be interesting to see how that bill accelerates

car batteries, something you didn't expect to talk about today are being built by cannabis, pulp, and then processed in the carbon nano sheets. So hemp batteries essentially Mean the result here is equal to, or better than graphene and 200 to 400 times cheaper to produce than classic batteries based on the math from researchers. So super cool news. I of course, and a big fan of industrial hemp and the future there and the addressable.

That is possible by that. This is a few days old, but worth mentioning here. Clever leaves see LVR on the NASDAQ enters the U S market with consumer CBD products. I believe they have an Arizona subsidiary herbal brands and the product is joy soul, J O Y S O L a. So clever leaves continuing to explore.

Probably the second, most aggressive Latin American based company behind flora growth Corp FLDC on the NASDAQ FFL, WF, or fire and flower announces an expansion to their e-commerce offering with the launch of online branded dispensary's. This will enable direct to consumer sales with drop shipping for licensed producers.

In Canada, they're starting this off with initial brands, such as Oxley Cronos group F I G R. And Wagner's Oxley of course, on the, up and up with some of the top brands in Canada. So great news here for both Oxley and fire and flower and Kronos and the others.

Last, but not least one thing to point out again on the hemp side of life. Researchers from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, say they have developed hemp based rebar, reinforcing technology for cement construction. What a mouthful But essentially preliminary studies have shown strength, characteristics to be comparable to steel. Shifting to production of this would significantly decrease greenhouse gas emissions from the building and construction industry. So another wonderful development in industrial hemp, the one issue and obstacle here being current manufacturing, equipment and methods are not set up for the necessary methods. Of production here as they would damage the material.  Some developments to be done there for this to even be a thought in the industry of building a construction, but that being said, it is a great step forward and great for the hemp side of life.

Good morning investors happy Thursday. I hope you all are having some semblance of a good week. I know it's been crazy. This is Elliot lane with cannabis daily here to bring you your updates and cannabis news and investible information in the public cannabis markets. Thanks to Aaron Thomas for producing.

For the platform, tons to go over today in both investible companies, as well as some industry and legislative news. So let's dive right in Chicago, Atlantic or R E F I is their ticker refi. I like to say they fund a senior secured facility for sanctuary medicinals. This is one of the first big ones that.Personally recall for them, the initial advances, $10 million of an overall $25 million credit facility sanctuary medicinals will use the money to support their expansion for retail and cultivation in the state of Florida. I love this for refi. I think this is a nice deal. I think it's a wonderful state for them to focus in with an interesting new operator that I will keep an eye on for sure.

Planet 13 or P L N H F on the OTC. And they file an amendment of a form 10 registration statement with the sec to register it's common shares under section 12 of the exchange act. Now, if you like me, listen to that. What then I've got a little clarification for you. Basically. This is a step toward, up listing to a major us exchange.

Now this of course is pending federal legalization is that cannot happen until it is legal to touch the. In this country, however, planet 13, looking to be one of the first to market for investors on what will probably be the NASDAQ. I love I've always loved the aggressiveness of planet 13 major company, but this is the second time we've touched on them this week.

So definitely put them on your watch list. At least for the time being P L N H F multiple studies coming out recently offering the dangers of cannabis use while driving. Of course, this is not advisable. If. And sober from anything alcohol cannabis, obviously there are dangerous to it. However, check out an interview on Benzing as YouTube with David Belsky from Tuesday, this past Tuesday.

Saying there a lot of gray area. He does not test his employees for cannabis. He does not condemn them for utilizing cannabis to help them focus or to improve their days. However, there is self-awareness that is involved there. So some interesting conversation happening around cannabis use recently and what is okay, and what is not.

Leif report. This is the company releases a pricing report that shows this is incredible and 11142% difference between the cheapest and most expensive CBD. 11142% difference. That's an insane leave report is Israeli based and they via their PR claimed to be the CBD industries, peer reviewed watchdog website.

 Super interesting. I've not heard of them before. That's pretty cool. Data came from over 3000 CBD products sold by more than 100 brands in their last study in April of 2021, the report showed only a 4718% difference. So a massive increase from the top to the bottom, essentially scientific.

Now it says they're rare cannabis compounds, specifically CBDA and CBG a may potentially prevent COVID-19 among other health conditions. This is consistent with studies from Oregon state and the university of Chicago that have recently come out and said, this is a very potentially true. However, it must be ultra high purity.

It is not CBD. You buy off the shelf at your local circle. No offense to circle K whole foods, fresh market, whatever it may be. This requires ultra high purity CBD compounds audacious brands or a U S a on the OTC releases, a press release. Audacious firing on all cylinders.

First of all, love that aggressiveness love the confidence. Keep it calming, gives me energy on these middle days of the week. But they do say in the press release, their international expansion is moving positively with Thailand, approving the dropping of cannabis from the health ministries list of controlled drugs.

 Super interesting international development. Us brands for audacious. We'll continue to see strong demand specifically in Nevada and California. They're in conversations with box store and pharmacy chains throughout north America. And this month audacious plans to enter license applications in Ohio, New Jersey and New Mexico.

 It sounds like they are firing on all cylinders props to Terry Booth, who, if you may remember it was one of the OGs at Aurora, but now is at audacious as well as John Paul, a mark lock mocker, just some incredible management team over there. So if anybody's going to grow quickly and grow intelligent, My money's on that management team.

I conic brands or ICA, N I C I think it's iconic. I see NAF on the OTC is an MSO in Nevada and California, and they recently acquired leaf holdings, a massive California based extraction company for $120 million. This is two times the trailing 12 month revenue for leaf that's L E F a anticipated to be.

This quarter. So that is some interesting developments there. We don't talk about iconic brands a lot, but it sounds like they're ready to become aggressive. The Delaware house health and human development committee approved marijuana legalization bill. So first steps for Delaware moving in the right direction there.

 Ideally joining Mississippi and some others who are making some legislative. Good morning investors, happy Wednesday. This is Elliot lane, host of cannabis daily. The show brings you a quick five to six minutes of cannabis investing news and or industry centric news, every single weekday.

So let's dive right in, starting off. We have high tide, H I T I on the NASDAQ exchange. They opened two new can of cabana locations in Regina to begin selling adult use cannabis on January 27th. This brings their total brick and mortars to 109. So high tide continuing their aggressive expansion AgriFood.

HGF why on the NASDAQ announces a $27.3 million. Private placement AgriFood will issue roundabouts 4 million, 20,994 shares of common stock at a combined purchase price of $6 and 80 cents per share. What's interesting to me about this is CEO along with other members of management and the board participated in the.

However they did. So at $6 and 90 cents. So 10 cents more, I think this is a huge shot of confidence in from internally from Agra. I think it's aggressive. I think it's strong. I love this. So props to  on this release next up, after having announced it would stop testing most employees for cannabis and backing a democratic led bill to legalize cannabis.

Amazon is now backing Nancy mace, the freshmen Republican Congresswoman from South Carolina and her bill, the state's reform act. So I think this continues to be a boon for cannabis to have large tech and e-commerce plays. Join the fold, Mississippi lawmakers in the state, Senate and state house. Come to an agreed.

And send their newly revised medical cannabis bill to governor Tate Reeves desk. The final passage of which is expected to today. I love this. I think it's fantastic to see more Southern states joined the fold. Mississippi would not have been my guest to be the first one of many. But th this is a boon, in my opinion, for sure that the amendment, I believe coverage, zoning restrict.

For licensees planet 13, probably the most fun news of the day. That's PLN, H F on the OTC. Now allowing couples to say I do in their Las Vegas Superstore, also known as the world's largest dispensary. You can also. I exchanged vows at their cultivation facility, which is not super far from the Las Vegas strip.

They are tiered packages, everybody. So if you're planning on doing this wedding, start at $400 for a quickie, you can also go at $600 and $800 and so on and so forth for further packages. So planet 13, continuing to innovate, continuing to look beyond the norms of the cannabis. And be a leader at drawing in tourism to their to their dispensary, to their brand.

Truly TC in NF is rebranding all their Pennsylvania retail locations. This is somewhat to me, similar to what Columbia care did with their Florida dispensaries to camp. But they want to unite true leavers everywhere. And they're starting here with Pennsylvania or continuing here with Pennsylvania schwas or S H w Z on the OTC closes their acquisition of drift cannabis, which consists of two dispensary's and Boulder, Colorado.

This brings their total number of stores in the states two 20. The cost of the acquisition was around three and a half million. Pretty evenly split between cash and common stock. This seems like a solid acquisition to me, perhaps, to Schwab as their next step. A decently interesting company that we don't talk about a whole lot.

They really only put out news when they have news, which is a nice change of pace. But zone properties or Z D P Y on the OTC. And announced as their final completion of expansion at the Chino valley cultivation facility, this zone properties first and foremost is a leading real estate development firm in this space.

And this will significantly increase the rental revenue with further opportunities to increase revenue down the line from this specific facility. So great news for zone properties, a great news for the future for CDP. Private multi-state operator elevate holistics over the course of 2021 donated $70,000 to treat veterans and Medicare members.

So I love talking about stories like this. I love talking about giving back to the community and giving back to the medical cannabis community specifically that has fought so hard for cannabis legalization last but not least South Dakota law. Are looking to repeal part of their citizen backed bill for the specifically the home cultivation rights can imagine this is going to go over well.

 Home cultivation rights are a huge battleground in this industry. Anybody who is for cannabis, legalization, and wants to have some sort of support from the OJI community needs to be behind cultivation rights for individuals and home cultivation rights. This is not going to be popular. And those companies that are behind a bill such as this will not be popular.

So just keep an eye on this. We'll see where this goes. And what's  what comes of this for that community? Actually, I didn't lie. Hexo did provide an update that for their path forward plan saying they're ready, can products will increase in markets and expansion there. So Hexo NASDAQ listed.

I hope it's well on this terrific Tuesday, this is Elliot lane, host of cannabis daily, as always accompanied by the marvelous Aaron Thomas, who produces the show and Benzinga for the platform. Thanks as always just to give you a little introduction for those that may be introduced to this for the first time, we are a cannabis investing news show focused on the cannabis industry.

We do touch on cannabis stocks, but also cannabis news. Hopefully this helps your day ahead. If you're looking at cannabis companies to. In let's dive right in jive or dive both Tilray T L R Y on the NASDAQ expands their medical cannabis product portfolio in Australia. They do this with a 15 gram medical cannabis, whole flour product.

Subsequently. They also have launched an online medical cannabis education platform for healthcare professionals in Australia and New Zealand. Are they offering more resources and more products to be consumed, also increasing their bottom line. They also are. Providing more resources for doctors to prescribe their products and get more of their products to the patients directly.

So props and absolute well done until Ray on that front, a incredibly smart way to attack that market are those markets in Australia. Balance company V L N S on the NASDAQ launches, two new products, one value, and one ultra-premium. The expansion of the product portfolio is part of a multi-step plan to lift balance to being one of the top performers in the Canadian adult rec market.

Obviously every Canadian adult rec company wants to be the top performer in the market, but balanced, continually making steps and has been pretty aggressive with their news flow of late. So I would definitely keep an eye on the L N. Interesting north American study from a lab stat international and the blink group lab stat is a third-party cannabis testing company.

And blink group is a leading manufacturer of anciliary vape products been around forever. They worked on a study entitled. Puffing regimes found that cannabis consumption through vape devices is vastly different than nicotine and varies vastly across borders from country to country. And I would imagine state to state province to province more than 2000 adult use cannabis users across north America participated in the study.

Colorado meets their goal of 16.8% of cannabis businesses being minority owned. That's awesome. I believe they hit 17% to be precise. That being said, the data shows there is ways to go before cannabis business ownership is on par with the state's population demographics. However, it is good to see that moving in the right direction as social actors.

He's not always moving in the right direction in an emerging market in general. So now to the more explosive news of the day, if you have not been following the med men and a sin wellness story madness. Is looking to quote unquote wriggle out of their deal that were taken directly from the New York post article.

We'll touch on shortly from an, a transaction definitive agreement with us and wellness to sell their New York assets to them. Med men files a counterfeit. Against a sin wellness who filed a suit, of course accusing them of political influencing med men or in F on the OTC claims, ascend wellness, CEO, Abner curtain used political influence with New York governor Kathy and was shortly after able to obtain the email in favor of a sin.

So New York post publishes the story claiming coach will push for the $75 million sale of Madmen New York assets to ascend to help them because they are a campaign donor days before Madmen was set to here we go. Quote, unquote, wriggle out of the deal and days after a attended a fundraiser for hotel, I believe that was a sense, president Andrew Brown.

So the story is getting jucier in juicy area. I do think Madmen wants out of the deal because given the government. Progress of moving cannabis, legalization forward and recreational use forward madman's assets are more, should be worth more than the transactional deal that they agreed to. With ascend, that being said, there is a definitive agreement in place on a sense side.

So is this lobbying or is it political? Temporary? That question, we will pose to you all and not get too political here, but that being said, we will keep an eye on this for you with two major OTC listed MSOE in F N a w H New York doctors can now recommend medical marijuana to all patients who can benefit from it per the New York office of cannabis management or the OCM.

When I think of this, I definitely think. Sites to companies like med men but more so to companies like Columbia care, CCH, WF, and New York doctors can now recommend medical marijuana to all patients who can benefit from it per the New York office of cannabis management MTR SSF. As in that tri-state area, those companies are going to benefit first and foremost, this is Elliot lane with cannabis daily. Hope.
