More and more states are legalizing cannabis for medical and recreational purposes. Using cannabis to treat pain is an old practice made new again by law, but does your doctor know how to properly prescribe cannabis? Dr. Ivkerâs book is a modern day cannabis bible for doctors and patients alike who are navigating this brave new world of treating chronic pain with cannabis. Well organized and comprehensive, this book is a must read!

Good information - Well written

To start out personal I would say that I suffer with chronic pain 24 hours a day and have been for eleven years following a motorcycle accident. I am a 62 year old male and have had neck and spine operations but the only relief to somewhat deaden the nerve damage pain is from percocet and time released morphine through out the day.

With the idiots in congress threatening to wipe opiates off the face of the earth I am nervous as to what I'm going to do if that happens. I have been seeing a Dr. every three months for eleven years and jumping through the hoops required in order to get my prescriptions and now Washington is threatening to make a life changing decision for me. I am sure there are many in the same boat as me. So...

I picked up this book knowing nothing about cannabis for chronic pain and after reading through and making notes I feel I have somewhere to turn when the time comes. I live in Wisconsin where Medical marijuana or any other type is not legal yet but this book was very informative and has given me insight and much hope for down the road. If you have an interest in this wonder weed I recommend this book for sure.
