On this weeks episode of Patrick is joined by guest host Alan Brochstein of 420 Investor! The pair speak with David Leider of FocusGrowth Capital, Barrington Miller from the Canadian Securities Exchange, and Aric Klar from Quality Roots. 

David: is a Partner with FocusGrowth Capital Partners. FGCP is a U.S.-based investment firm that is uniquely qualified to solve complex finance, legal, regulatory and operational issues in the legal cannabis industry. Prior to forming FGCP, David has been an active investor, advisor and board member to numerous companies in the cannabis industry. He has extensive experience in the digital advertising industry, having co-founded and served as the CEO of GSTV (Gas Station TV). David has a demonstrated history of business innovation, executive management, driving profitability, successful sell-side transactions and M&A. Prior to GSTV, David held senior management positions at Yahoo! and a number of leading advertising and marketing firms.

Barrington: Barrington Miller currently serves as the Director of Listed Company Services at the Canadian Securities Exchange, and is primarily responsible for helping retain listed companies through promotion and marketing efforts. In addition, he is a primary touch point for Business Development, and also conducts educational and outreach initiatives about the CSE.

Aric: Aric Klar leads Quality Roots as our Chief Executive Officer (CEO), utilizing his extensive skill set of running business operations, staffing, purchasing, process and procedure management and vendor relations. Aric is an expert in business management. Morgan: is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Poseidon, one of the longest running funds in the cannabis industry. With over ten years experience in investing and finance, Morgan has developed a deep understanding of individual company analysis, portfolio construction, and risk mitigation. Since 2012, he has dedicated his investment focus primarily to the cannabis industry.

Al: As Founder of cannabis company Viola Inc., Al Harrington is the mastermind behind the brand named after and inspired by his grandmother, Viola Harrington. Working with a team of industry leaders, he has created a premium cannabis brand that is founded in purpose and social equity. While in and after the NBA, Al Harrington has been a strategic investor in startups across the cannabis market. Prior to Viola, Al Harrington was a professional basketball player for 16 seasons playing in the NBA.

Alan: is one of the first professional analysts to focus on the cannabis industry back in 2013. Alan runs the 420 Investor on Benzinga's Marketfy platform, helping investors identify promising cannabis companies and avoid dangerous ones, and he also runs the New Cannabis Ventures website.

Tahira: is an investor and advisor to numerous cannabis and hemp businesses and entrepreneurs and has expertise in brand development, investment strategy, and operational growth. She has previously held positions at Hypur Ventures, MTech Acquisition Corp., Marley Natural, Privateer Holdings, City First Enterprises, Perry Capital, and Ernst & Young, and currently serves as President of T3 Ventures and on the board of directors of Akerna Corp., Ceres Acquisition Corp., and Superette. An established thought leader in the space, Tahira is a frequent speaker at conferences and events around the world and has been featured in press outlets such as Forbes, Business Insider, Fortune, and Marie Claire. Tahira earned her MBA from the Yale School of Management and B.S. in Finance from The Ohio State University. She resides in New York City.

Nick: is the CEO of KushCo Holdings, Inc. (OTCQX:KSHB), the premier provider of ancillary products and services to the legal cannabis and CBD industries. Under Nick’s leadership the company has grown revenues between 100-285% each year - achieving nearly $150M in annual sales last year with operations in nine states and three countries.

Nancy was named MJBizDaily’s 2019 Industry Impact Award Winner in December 2019 and was one of six women included in High Times 100 in March 2019. She is a member of the Colorado Cannabis Manufacturers Association, National Cannabis Industry Association, Cannabis Trade Federation and Marijuana Policy Project.
