Julie Behling was my guest today on the LDS Live Podcast. She wrote a book called Beneath Sheep’s Clothing. Julie served an LDS mission in Russia and eventually was inspired to write the book Beneath Sheep’s Clothing. We discussed how I became a conservative from a Democrat. We discussed a few topics in her book such as civil rights, how Christians are often depicted in the media. We also talked about David Koresh, and Warren Jeffs. Even though both people were nut jobs more so Warren Jeffs. Law enforcement had no right to tear down the compound or take kids away from the mothers without Due Process. There needs to be a process. We discussed why it might be better to freeze dry your own meals as oppose to buying from companies that sale freeze dried meals. I know I had a guest who distributes freeze dried meals. However, there are advantages to making your own freeze-dried meals. We discussed that. We also talked about preserving meat, canning, and glassing eggs. We all introduced ourselves. I introduced my producer Ralae. I also introduced our guest Val Westover. We talked about how Ralae made it to Salt Lake where she currently lives now. We discussed how Val got in to essential Oils and eventually owned Butter Fly Express. We also talked about how to store fuel.
We discussed the best Propane Generators and to avoid ones that have an obscure name from China. He did however say to go with brands like Honda.
We discussed Solar Generators.
We discussed what kind of herbs you should have during an emergency. We also talked about some essential Oils a person should have on hand as well. I made that I would have Frankincense, Labender, and Teatree.
We discussed some essential items to have in your 72 hour kit. For example, a regular AM FM radio Perhaps a CB or Ham Radio and what kind of food to have in your 72 hour kit.
