Canopy Sounds returns with a serene hour of music from our friend, Kareem Auf.

A note from Kareem: "Music is probably the only real magic I have encountered in my life. There's not some trick involved with it. It's pure and it's real. It moves, it heals, it communicates and does all these incredible things.

Kareem has been honing in his sound over the past few years DJing in Cairo, Egypt. He has begun to shift his focus to production since gaining a gaining an appreciation for more melodic and cinematic sounds. Canopy Sounds returns with Maxi Degrassi

Maxi Degrassi, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

has signed many of his own productionsnotorious melodic and deep record labels such as Seven Villas, Sudbeat and Plattenbank. One of his most notable releases of late was the "Bells In The City" EP from Magician On Duty. It was remixed by a stellar cast of like minded vibe creators; Armen Miran, Erdi Irmak, and Bona Fide. Degrassi is currently on a journey of rhythmic and melodic sounds that whisk listeners away into an impeccably introspective and emotive experience. Make sure to keep watch for this rising star if you are traveling around Argenina or South America. We have a feeling he may be exploring new territories in not too long.

Canopy Sounds journeys to Estonia with KYKA.

Early morning radio voice, DJ and producer Jürgen Pärnsalu aka Kyka from Estonia began to get interested in music actively in 1996. He made acquaintance with DJ technique and started to play records for fun. Soon he started to explore the magical world of producing. He discovered that the best way to express himself and achieve his goals is through electronic music. Today we are able to place Kyka as a veteran next to other Estonian deep house producers. He's career now in radio, also as a DJ & producer dates back for over decade with releases on world known labels supported by the greatest names in house scene.

Among the branches, wrapped in love....

Valentin Ortiz aka Nodo was born in Santa Rosa, La Pampa. Since the early beginnings, music has been playing an integral role for him, participating in bands and collaborating with other musicians. Artists like Simon Vuarambon, Kevin Di Serna, Andy Arias and Santi Mossman from his hometown have been a big influence.

Now he's going through a personal journey on his own productions, being more interested in deep house, deep dub and minimal. He has been supported by names like Guy J, George X, Electric & One, Pandhora, Adrien (RO), Fernando Ferreyra, Ramiro Rossotti and others.

Joe Miller is an English-born beatmonger, influenced in equal measure by heaving clubs and the earthy melancholy of forests. He grew up in Australia, where he learned to craft sets that are whimsical and left-field, evoking a sense of place.

Joe has released music on Dream Culture, All Day I Dream (with Jamie Stevens), L’enfant terrible, Traum Schallplatten and Manual Music, with support from Guy J, James Grant, Robert Babicz, Lane 8, Nora en Pure, Anthony Pappa, Gab Rhome, Pablo Bolivar, YokoO, Danny Tenaglia, Tone Depth, Chris Fortier and Love Over Entropy.

Recently, Joe has contributed mixes to Bespoke Musik, Magician on Duty, Deeper Sounds (streaming on British Airways flights), Moodroom Collective, Dream Culture’s Dreamcast series, Electronic Groove (with Jamie Stevens), bloop London and Fiction Lab. His 2019 schedule includes dates in New York (Bespoke Musik) and Miami (Do Not Sit on the Furniture), as well as releases on Magician on Duty, Nie Wieder Schlafen and Sag & Tre.

Adam Husa’s electric and eccentric world pensively balances dark and light tones, invoking distinctly deep frequencies. He flutters across sounds keeping things emotive and trippy, from eerie grooves and ambient nostalgia to melodic techno and seductive minimal. His focus is on casting sonic pathways for listeners to accompany him in getting lost. With productions supported by Dixon, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Be Svendsen, Tone Depth & more, we’re well on his way.

Adam’s songs have surfaced on fittingly named labels like Magician on Duty, Dream Culture and L’Enfant Terrible, among others. A regular fixture of East Coast festivals (Piknic Electronik, Eclipse, Summerdaze, AIM, Igloofest, Liberty…), his wanderings have also leaded to performances in LA, Paris, Cairo, Istanbul, Vancouver, NY, Burning Man…

For six years, his impact on the Montreal scene has solidified with the growth of Husa Sounds. This electronic music collective and blog is dedicated to curating and nurturing underground artistic experiences, whether intimate local showcases or multidisciplinary raves in abandoned venues - among which a boarding school and a church. Husa Sounds has collaborated with Be-At.TV as well as summoned a steady steam of celestial deep house artists, from Jon Talabot to Miyagi, SuperFlu to Oona Dahl.

Meanwhile, Adam’s diverse sets, conspicuous productions and thumping basslines continue crackling into the night.

NuKreative is a project born out of a mutual passion and love for music. With careers spanning over 20 years the Australian duo now based in Los Angeles, are making waves in the underground dance scene with their Nu sound combining earthy textures, organic sounds & soundscapes crossed with Ambient grooves, Downtempo, Deep House and Progressive.

In a short time the duo have already scored releases on respected labels, Magician On Duty, Kindisch, Balance Music & Open Records, with continuous support from artists like Kora, Sebastien Ledger and Be Svendsen to name a few.
