They are to adorn themselves . . . with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works” . The “older woman” language in  means that she is someone older in maturity, wisdom, and godliness, in whose speech and conduct evidences that she is full of the fruit of the Spirit rather than the spirit of the age. If a woman has been a believer for even a short number of years, there is likely a younger girl or woman in the faith for her to invest in and train to be and make fruitful disciples.

In 1787, dozens of men, including George Washington and Alexander Hamilton, gathered in Philadelphia to design a new system of government for the United States, then barely four years old with a weak central government that was struggling to respond to the nation’s problems. One question they faced was: how do you create a central government that possessed enough authority but could not abuse its power?

Their solution was splitting the power of the central government between three branches: the executive, legislative and judicial. Each branch has tools to preserve its own authority and limit the actions of the other two, known as the system of checks and balances.

In the 20th Century, the court also began to check the president. In 1952, the Supreme Court ruled that it was unconstitutional for President Harry Truman to seize private steel mills for the Korean War effort, and despite disagreeing with the decision, Truman obeyed the court. Decades later, the Supreme Court successfully ordered President Richard Nixon to hand over tapes of conversations with his associates, who were accused of being involved in the Watergate scandal.

But if the Supreme Court has no military or budget at its command, why do the other branches listen to it? Its authority comes from historical precedent, said Erwin Chemerinsky, dean of the School of Law at UC Berkeley.

“Throughout American history, presidents — Democrats and Republicans — adhered to court orders even when they disagreed with them,” Chemerinsky said.

But what can the courts do if the White House, which insists its authority is being unfairly limited, ultimately disobeys their rulings? Then, the courts could “hold the government officials who carry out the president’s policies in contempt of court,” Chemerinsky said, adding that it’s unlikely for a sitting president to be held in contempt.

There are two different types of punishments for disobeying a court: civil contempt and criminal contempt.

“In civil contempt, someone is fined or put in jail until they comply with the court order,” Chemerinsky said.

Criminal contempt, however, is a punishment that can also include either jail time or hefty fines.

A phishing email often appears to come from an organization that you know and trust, like a bank or financial institution, asking you to enter your account password on a fake copy of the site’s login page. 

Scammers like shopping online for victims. Not getting what you paid for is a common scam targeting online shoppers. 

A scammer will sell a product and send a faulty or inferior quality item, or nothing at all. They may also pretend to sell a product just to gather your credit card or bank account details. 

These scams can also be found on reputable online classified pages. 

Scammers send emails or text messages that appear to be from your bank, a financial institution, or an online payment service. 

They usually claim that there is a problem with your account and request that you verify your details on a fake but convincing copy of the bank’s website.Scammers trick you into signing up by disguising the offer as an outstanding invoice or a free entry but with a hidden subscription agreement in the fine print. 

These scams involve offers to work from home or set up and invest in a business opportunity. Scammers promise a job, high salary, or large investment return following initial upfront payments.

These payments may be for a business plan, training course, software, uniforms, security clearance, taxes, or fees. 

Scammers are unscrupulous and take advantage of people who want to donate to a good cause or find an answer to a health problem.

Charity scams involve scammers collecting money by pretending to work for a legitimate cause or charity a fictitious one they have created.

Often scammers will exploit a recent natural disaster or crisis that has been in the news.

They may also play on your emotions by claiming to collect for a cause that will secure your sympathy, for example, to help sick children.

One theme across the lawsuits is a general claim that the president lacks the constitutional powers to regulate elections. “The President lacks any ‘direct control’ over the conduct of elections, notwithstanding President Trump’s unprecedented claim to the contrary,” argued the complaint filed by the Elias Law Group, which is representing the DNC.
