David and Anna Klein have quite a journey together. They met in Oklahoma as Anna came from Japan to go to college. They married and settled into New York City, where employment and housing came miraculously together. They then moved to Long Beach, where again employment came for David (a teacher) despite a teacher surplus. Many churches, many cities, but an enduring love for each other, their three kids, and their God.

Bob relays his incredible youth, where he moved out on his own at age 15 to escape his Dad's abuse. He is introduced to Jesus by his wife, Janey, when they meet at Fullerton College. Three kids and seven grandchildren later, Bob looks back at an amazing life where God had a plan for him even though he didn't know God did.

Cork and Pastor Dave discuss the book of Esther and asking the question: "Did Mordecai (Esther's uncle) think everything through when he decided not to bow down to Haman, the political egomaniac who hated the Jews. As a result of this act, Mordecai put his people in jeopardy. As God would have it, of course, his niece Esther helped correct the situation. It's a gripping movie-ready story with a beautiful ending for God's people.

But could all of this have been avoided? It's a great discussion.

Maddox was a swimmer, water polo goalie, and an actor at Irvine while also being one of the praise leaders at Canyon Church.

Maddox credits his parents, both educators, for being so supportive of him and his brothers.

One of Canyon Church's praise leaders, Brandon Pearce talks about his career in ministry, mainly as a praise leader and youth minister. He discusses disappointments that he has had, the need for balance as a servant, and his love of music.

He will really relate to people who have been hurt in churches by decisions from imperfect leaders and the need to grow from those experiences.

Cork, David, and Brandon also talk about the uniqueness of the Canyon Church in terms of its ability to listen to its members, try new things, and grow in the process.

Her story seems typical of many Christians who sometimes get discouraged by God's own people but eventually find their way back.
