With the increasing desire to change before it's too late, many individuals get stuck in the "how-to" stage and never act as they are paralyzed by the unknown. Rick has the road map for these lost and confused dream-seekers. He will provide the inspiration to act and the hope of a better tomorrow and happiness.

Rick wasn't always interested in helping others on a global scale despite being pushed repeatedly in that direction by near-death experiences, family tragedies, and deaths. It wasn't until the ever-worsening times of 2020 when he was laid off, quarantined, and desperate that he finally got the wake-up call.

Dennis Williams is a single father who lives in a one bedroom with his nine-year-old son Devonte Williams who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at birth. At 34-year-old, Mr. Williams continues to do bartending and works as a delivery man to help support himself and his child. In an interview with a Jamaican newspaper (The Gleaner), he expressed his emotion:

“Right now, just talking about this is giving me cold bumps. This is my one and only child and it scares me when he has seizures. I can only sleep with one eye open because of how fearful I am that something will happen to him. He gets scared, too, and would behave frantically in the house”

Mr. Williams also reported that he spent over $40,000-$50,000-JMD monthly to take care of his child. The father desperately needs a disability bath chair so he can shower Devonte with ease.

Shelly created the first obstetrics patient module simulation in the United States. Since the success of this project, she has begun to work with colleges and universities to create similar programs. As a congenital hemi amputee, Shelly has experienced bias, hatred, and microaggressions throughout her life.  However, through humor, knowledge, and empowerment she has been able to uplift herself and others. Her passion for disability advocacy has earned her the 2019 NCIL (National Council on Independent Living) advocacy award in Washington DC in 2019. In 2021, she won the Ralph Trainor Advocacy Award for her work as the podcast host of DisAbility Talks and community outreach. Yes! Shelly is a mother.

Like many women, my guest had suffered physical/sexual abuse as a child and was determined to make her dreams a reality. She had lost everything, including her own self confidence through a painful divorce with an addict which had her 100 pounds heavier. Through self-love and determination, she found herself again and was able to lose the 100 pounds and go on to become United States of America Ms. Nevada 2021 at 51 yrs. My guest had overcome, and she is so grateful and would love to inspire other women that they too shall overcome.

Patricia Bevilacqua: In September 1989, Patti started her dream job; teaching high school physical education. However, five months later, before the end of her first year of teaching, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Ten years later, she was forced to leave the only job she ever wanted due to worsening symptoms of MS. In 2001, Patti went back to university to pursue graduate studies at the University of Toronto.
