TV show aside, Iron Fist has some pretty great stories, but the best one might be how his origin got reworked to be less racist. Also, our thoughts on Ruby Rose’s new Batwoman show and Batman’s lack of faith.

Matt Fraction and Ed Brubaker’s excellent Immortal Iron Fist omnibus! https://www.amazon.com/Immortal-Iron-Fist-Omnibus/dp/0785138196

Also, our thoughts on the new ‘Venom’ trailer, casting rumors for the Birds of Prey movie, and the ongoing catastrophe that is James Gunn’s firing from Guardians of the Galaxy.

For this episode, we turn to the murkiest, spookiest corners of the DC universe: the swamps of Louisiana, where one of the creepiest superheroes of all time hangs out.

Alan Moore’s iconic Swamp Thing run begins here: https://www.comixology.com/Saga-of-the-Swamp-Thing-Book-One/digital-comic/50784

Chris didn’t love Grant Morrison’s Swamp Thing run, but you can give it a shot here: https://www.comixology.com/Swamp-Thing-Vol-1-The-Root-of-All-Evil/digital-comic/253608?ref=Y29taWMvdmlldy9kZXNrdG9wL3NsaWRlckxpc3Qvc2VyaWVz

Ryan did like Scott Snyder and Jeff Lemire’s Swamp Thing, and you can read that here: https://www.comixology.com/Swamp-Thing-By-Scott-Snyder-Deluxe-Edition/digital-comic/263992?ref=c2VhcmNoL2luZGV4L2Rlc2t0b3Avc2xpZGVyTGlzdC90b3BSZXN1bHRzU2xpZGVy

FX’s Legion show is another weird chapter in the life of one of the X-Men’s weirdest characters, and one of Marvel’s least subtle metaphors for mental health.

When Dick Grayson was first introduced, DC Comics thought they’d found a way to make Batman more relatable to kids. What they didn’t realize is they’d actually found a way to make Batman more human.

Chuck Dixon’s ‘Robin: Year One’ is a great introduction to the character: https://www.amazon.com/Robin-Year-One-Chuck-Dixon/dp/1563898055

We’re also big fans of the ‘Grayson’ comic, which you can get here: https://www.dccomics.com/comics/grayson-2014/grayson-1

This week, our skeleton crew talks about Deadpool, Cable and the rest of the X-Force, and whether or not superheroes should be for kids. Also, Infinity War seems to be doing well.
