To whom much is given, much is required. Israel had much given to them- yet God only wanted one thing- Their Trust.

Salvation is all of God, and He chooses to permit men to participate in it.

Romans 10-1-13. My own attempts at righteousness will actually preclude me from obtaining salvation- but God promises righteousness to those who trust in Him.

Righteousness is not obtained by doing good deeds- instead, as exhibited by the Gentiles, righteousness is gained by faith in Christ.

God will see to it that His will is accomplished.

God uses whomsoever He wills to accomplish His purpose.

God keeps His promises in HIs own timing, and He has a purpose behind every promise.

As the RIghteous Sovereign, God has every right to choose to whom He makes promises. What He chooses is always right.

If God always keeps His promises, what about Israel- Has He forsaken Israel- -Romans 9 makes it clear that He has not forgotten about Israel, even temporarily.

A look at the characters in the Resurrection story gives us an insight into their hearts.
