The Stone, The Priests, The People 1 Peter 2 - One the great chapters of the Bible showing us the church that God is building.

1 Pet 2:2-3 - Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, 3 now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness. Crave the pure spiritual milk. What has God shown you? Leadership in the church begins with leading your family. Are you able to lead yourselves? Your families?

1 Pet 1:22 - You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart. So get rid of all evil behaviour. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. 1 Pet 2:1 So now Love So that He will grant you His blessing (1 Pet 3:9)

1 Pet 1:17-And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favourites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time here as “temporary residents.” The only metric is Prayer and the presences of God Living in reverent fear of God
- Are you living in constant awareness of God, like you are aware of COVID-19?

Join us as we learn from Peter about how moving from belief to trust in a time of worry and uncertainty could have eternal consequences.

Rockstars in our world are a picture of success and sensuality but for us, rockstar is what we get out of the books of 1 & 2 Peter. We get to follow our rockstar called Jesus, as we learn to stand through difficult times and come out celebrating on the other side, walking and leaping and praising God!

The LORD gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. As we dive into Proverbs 2 and ask our Heavenly Father for wisdom, we’ll begin to understand what is right and just and fair, and you will find the right way to go. For wisdom will enter your heart from His mouth into your heart. Knowledge will fill you with joy, wise choices will watch over you and understanding will keep you safe.

How a Christian can face trouble that it turns us into something splendid instead of crushing us. This is what 1 Peter is about. Suffering and glory are deeply connected – just look at the life of Jesus Suffering and glory are inextricable bound up together in the Christian life.

The book of Joel is a powerful reminder of God’s kindness when we’re faced with ruin, His kindness in leading us to repentance, and His kindness in promising restoration. Yahweh is God, and He is with us.

In John chapter 1 we can see 8 different aspects of Jesus' life presented. As we lay hold of Him in these unbelievably diverse ways, some heavenly and some earthly, we are equipped for this time, because we are going to desperately need Him to minister, not only to us and to our church, but to our city, our nation, and our world.
