Only when there is a cost to our faith—when God allows us to be tested—do we learn our true level of spiritual maturity, our level of faithfulness.

The book of Romans provides a precise, progressive outline of God’s plumb line relative as to how a person is saved. Once digested, they are also profoundly illuminating! The writer of Hebrews put it this way: so great a salvation! (2:3).
