This story ranges from the initial brainstorm, to an intense development process and then tales from the epic day in Eastlake. To this day Jobu remains one of the most sought after bobbleheads in Minor League Baseball and one of the rarest collectibles on the market. This week on Lunch with the Captains we explore the 2020 season for players and coaches not a part of the Indians 60-man roster. Both 2020 Captains Manager Greg Dicenzo, and 2017 Captains Manager Larry Day join the show to tell us what is going on behind the scenes from the coaching perspective to help the Indians prospects continue to improve without a season. Then 2019 Captains pitcher Shane McCarthy discusses his experience with remote coaching and what his goals have been despite not playing in any live games. 

This week on Lunch with the Captains two Indians pitching prospects join the show to talk about how they are preparing for the 2020 season with the Indians taxi squad. First its Eli Morgan who explains his nasty changeup and how he is constantly working on exploring new avenues to shape his pitches. Then Indians number nine prospect Triston McKenzie joins the show to talk about the work he has been doing with the Boys and Girls Club in Cleveland and his positive attitude after a long road back from injuries. 

This week on Lunch with the Captains we take a deeper dive into the preparations for the 2020 Major League season and the taxi squad workouts. First 2018 Captains Shortstop Ernie Clement joins the show to fill us in on his experiences so far with the taxi squad and intra-squad games in Cleveland. Then 2019 Captains Hitting Coach Jason Esposito discusses what its been like to work with the taxi squad players in the remote camp out of the Captains ballpark and how everyone has handled the safety precautions. 

This week on Lunch with the Captains two beat writers call in to discuss the upcoming baseball season. This week on Lunch with the Captains the top two Indians prospects join the show in Nolan Jones and Tyler Freeman after getting named to the Indians 60 man roster. They are both headed back to Lake County where they spent time in previous seasons with the Captains to train and prepare to potentially help the big league squad this season. They both share stories of training in quarantine and what it was like to get the nominated to this position. Finally, with the official announcement of the cancellation of Minor League Baseball in 2020, Andrew Luftglass and Brian McLaughlin share what they will miss most about the Minor League season.
