Google Podcasts has just released Google Podcasts Manager which is a very simple way to submit your podcast to Google Podcasts and, in a similar way to Apple Podcasts Connect & Spotify for Podcasters, view Google-specific podcast analytics. So, we've made some changes to the distribution area in Captivate to make this easy to work with and made sure you know exactly how it works with some new videos and tutorials!

After the huge analytics upgrade we released last week, this week we've gone into bug fix mode to fix up some tiny little annoyances that have been bugging us, too.

With a new episode deep-dive view, publish date overlays and city/region breakdowns across your entire show or on an episode-by-episode basis, your Captivate podcast analytics just got a serious power boost!

This week we've made some changes that are a bit weird to explain, but that make lives easier for you as a podcaster, for the podcast listener errantly landing on your RSS feed in a browser window and to make supporting you even faster and easier for the team. Overall, they ain't the sexy updates we love, but they impact you in a real positive way as a Captivate podcaster!

This week we've added a pile of extra usability to the way that you interact with URLs within your Captivate podcast website plus, we've fixed something that was causing some issues for people moving to Captivate from Anchor. Stay safe, stay well and look after those close to you!

Today we're pushing out a release that will display your podcast download analytics in your own timezone, as set in your show settings.

This means that you can view data in a time local to you rather than the standard UTC timezone, plus the timezone will also carry through to CSV exports and the one-click sponsor kit generation.

Set within your show settings, the timezone already controls the default publishing time and is always set at show level, not user level.

This weeks update isn't a fun one for you as much as it is for us. We've spent time this week upgrading some of our error messages to give you even more information on producing your show as efficiently as possible and we've built a couple of new tools to help the support team to help you even quicker than usual. A boring but important release!
