Recorded initially back in 2021, this was a powerful conversation that I had had with a friend at networking. There is a fear of being photographed in today’s world which is so sad considering how little we were photographed 20, 30 years ago and how much joy we have when looking through an old family album. A few musings as I left that networking event and drove home; hence audio shifts! Would love to hear your opinions too.

It’s the relaunch of Capture Your Brand podcast! Yay! We are so thrilled to be starting our podcast again for the first time since 2021. Gulp. February used to see the story telling month of 28 Brand Stories; telling the tales - and the tea - of the companies we have photographed and admire. It’s taking a bit of a change this time round of the continent included but also as it’s a leap year, will now be known as 29 Brand Stories! Really excited to get stuck in; for now, it’s Steve and I chatting business and life for ep 1.

It was a pleasure to interview some of my favourite business owners; Jem from Tinkers / Small Business Networking in Berkshire, Robyn from Robyn’s Nest Cafe & Victoria from Hullaballoonza. This video recording was to launch our 28 Brand Stories Series on social media by talking to 28 of the businesses we worked with over the past year. Everyone has been affected with the pandemic, I heard a quote recently, we are all on in the same storm, but different boats. Each of these businesses had to pivot and change their focus in order to keep the company afloat. We spoke about how each of the ladies got into business, what’s kept them going in their business, one thing they wish they’d known before the pandemic, if they were the presenter - what would they ask themselves and finally our signature question, what does photography mean to them and their business.
