Story Transcript:

Ga: Ar maidin ag breacadh an lae, bhí gaoth bhog an Earraigh ag séideadh trasna na haillte, ag meabhrú do gach duine go raibh séasúr nua tagtha.
En: In the morning at the break of dawn, a gentle spring wind was blowing across the cliffs, reminding everyone that a new season had arrived.

Ga: Bhí na Cliffs of Moher mar radharc hálainn, ag seasamh go maorga os cionn an Atlantaigh.
En: The Cliffs of Moher stood as a beautiful sight, majestically above the Atlantic.

Ga: Bhí Cathal, leannán an dúlra agus grianghrafadóireacht, ag tnúth le leathach spéisiúla an lae, lá fhéile Bealtaine, nuair a thiteann an ghrian go hálainn.
En: Cathal, a lover of nature and photography, was looking forward to the intriguing half-light of the day, Lá Fhéile Bealtaine, when the sun sets beautifully.

Ga: Ag siúl lena chara dlúth Aoife, d'éirigh Cathal ró-dóchasach.
En: Walking with his close friend Aoife, Cathal became overly optimistic.

Ga: D'éirigh sé le háthas agus é ag braith chomh saor le héan.
En: He was overcome with joy, feeling as free as a bird.

Ga: Ach, go tobann, d'iompaigh a rúitín agus thit sé, ag fágáil géim ghairid screams aige.
En: But suddenly, his ankle twisted, and he fell, leaving him with a short burst of screams.

Ga: "Auch!
En: "Auch!"

Ga: " a d'fhéin sé, ag clúdach a rúitín bréagnaithe támh mhara.
En: he groaned, covering his sprained ankle with a dull pain.

Ga: "A Cathail, bí cúramach," a dúirt Aoife go imníoch.
En: "A Chathail, be careful," said Aoife anxiously.

Ga: Bhí a súile lán le buairt.
En: Her eyes were full of concern.

Ga: "Níl mé ag stopadh anois," arsa Cathal tréan.
En: "I'm not stopping now," said Cathal determinedly.

Ga: "Ní féidir le rud ar bith stopadh orm an grianghraf seo a ghlacadh!
En: "Nothing can stop me from taking this photo!"

Ga: "Bhí imní ar Aoife.
En: Aoife was worried.

Ga: Ba mhaith léi cabhair a fháil, ach bhí siad ansin i bhfad ó cheantar ar bith.
En: She wanted to get help, but they were far from any area.

Ga: Bhí dearbhá ar Cathal gur bhain sé é féin go dtí an barr.
En: Cathal was determined to make it to the top.

Ga: Gan choinne, tháinig Niamh, treoraí áitiúil agus luibhlia dofhiafracht, chucu go hiontasach.
En: Unexpectedly, Niamh, a local guide and herbalist extraordinaire, came to them surprisingly.

Ga: "Tá cabhair de dhíth ort, a stocaire," arsa Niamh le meangadh beag.
En: "You need help, my friend," said Niamh with a small smile.

Ga: Bhagair sí iad le cosán níos sábháilte agus eolas áitiúil faoi na luibheanna a d'fhéadfadh cabhrú le Cathal.
En: She led them to a safer path and shared local knowledge about the herbs that could help Cathal.

Ga: Thug Niamh ointment luachmhar dóibh le cur ar rúitín Cathal.
En: Niamh gave them a valuable ointment to apply to Cathal's ankle.

Ga: Cé gur bhí an cosán níos faide, bhí sé sábháilte.
En: Although the path was longer, it was safe.

Ga: Lean na triúr ar aghaidh, le Niamh ag tabhairt misneach agus treoir.
En: The three of them continued onward, with Niamh providing encouragement and guidance.

Ga: De réir mar a shleamhnaigh an ghrian níos ísle, bhí an am ag teannadh isteach.
En: As the sun slipped lower, time was ticking away.

Ga: "Tá tú cinnte go mbeidh tú ceart?
En: "Are you sure you'll be okay?"

Ga: " d'fhiafraigh Aoife le roinnt bróin dánaigh yet grámhar ina guth.
En: Aoife asked with some tender yet loving concern in her voice.

Ga: Bhí siad beirt buartha, ach shocraigh siad leanúint ar aghaidh le chéile.
En: They were both worried, but they decided to continue together.

Ga: Cuireadh stad maith orthu ar chnoc a bhí suite go síochánta os cionn na farraige fós.
En: They made a good stop on a hill peacefully situated above the still sea.

Ga: D'ardaigh Cathal a cheamara dírithe ar an ngrian ag dul síos de réir a chéile.
En: Cathal raised his camera, aiming it at the gradually setting sun.

Ga: Le lámh Aoife ina láimh aige agus focail Niamh ina chluasa, luaigh sé go tapa ar an deaisic.
En: With Aoife's hand in his and Niamh's words in his ears, he quickly adjusted the lens.

Ga: Frámaigh Cathal an íomhá foirfe agus chliceáil sé an cnaipe.
En: Cathal framed the perfect image and pressed the button.

Ga: Bhí an grianghraf sliocht le dathanna Beltane — órga, dearg agus corcra.
En: The photograph captured the Beltane colors — golden, red, and purple.

Ga: Thosaigh Cathal ag smaoineamh ar a chairde agus a dtacaíocht.
En: Cathal began to think about his friends and their support.

Ga: D'fhoghlaim sé nach leor crógacht amháin uaireanta.
En: He learned that bravery alone is sometimes not enough.

Ga: "Go raibh maith agaibh," ar sé do Aoife agus Niamh, aithníonn sé a gcabhair mar ghrian an stoirm.
En: "Thank you," he said to Aoife and Niamh, recognizing their help as the sun of the storm.

Ga: D'fhéach Aoife ar a chara le bród.
En: Aoife looked at her friend with pride.

Ga: "Níorbh fhéidir linn a dhéanamh é gan a chéile," arsa sí go humhal.
En: "We couldn't have done it without each other," she said humbly.

Ga: Bhí sé ar an nóiméad sin a d'aithin gach duine acu an tábhacht a bhaineann le cairdeas agus grá.
En: It was at that moment they all recognized the importance of friendship and love.

Ga: Cé gur dhúirt go leor focal ar feadh an lae, chreid siad gur léirigh radharc amháin míle rud nach bhféadfadh focal a chur in iúl.
En: Although many words were spoken throughout the day, they believed that one view could express a thousand things words could not convey.

Ga: Agus faoi shine geal na gréine faoi sholas síorraí, lean na triúr orthu, ní amháin le stair a n-achieve an lae, ach le cumha a n-áthais ar shiúlóid shíochánta amach anseo.
En: And under the bright glow of the eternal light, the three of them continued, not only with the memory of the day's achievement but with the longing for a peaceful walk into the future.
