We're back to a more normal show after a few weeks of oddities. Louisville had two massive wins during the week as volleyball opened the week with a top-five victory over Pitt to secure their league lead and field hockey ended the week by completing their undefeated ACC season to clinch the first round bye in the ACC tournament. After recapping the field hockey match, the guys touch on the season closing match for women's soccer before moving on to look at volleyball's big win. Before wrapping up with final thoughts, they briefly turn their attention to the WBB Tip-off luncheon and the annual interview with Sam Purcell.

We fight a few technical difficulties in this one so if anything sounds a bit odd for a moment, just roll with it.

The Louisville women's soccer team is closing their season with a whimper, as they fell 4-1 in the midweek game to Virginia. The Cards' hopes for postseason play are almost assuredly dashed and the guys look at what they may have going forward after 2021. Things are going much better for field hockey and volleyball, who both picked up Friday wins. Field hockey controls their own destiny for ACC tournament seeding as they're guaranteed a share of the ACC regular season title after defeating UNC. On the hard court, volleyball remained undefeated with a win over Virginia and stares down a tough Pittsburgh team next.

The fall sports are no longer undefeated after Louisville soccer dropped their match early in the week against Western, but it was successful results only in every other match after that. Soccer earned a surprise draw against a top-25 team while volleyball swept a top-10 opponent and field hockey held on for a 1-0 win in Coach Justine Sowry's 200th career victory. The crew covers all of those and more in this week's show.

The fall sports seasons are rolling on. All three UofL fall team sports remain undefeated as women's soccer, field hockey, and volleyball all picked up wins over the last 48 hours. All three major fall sports have started their seasons and all three played on Friday night. The teams were undefeated in exhibition and regular season contests this week, so there's plenty for Paulie, Jeff, Jared, and Case to talk about. They open with a chat about Friday's volleyball double header in Arizona before moving on to recap the field hockey and soccer wins on Floyd Street.

It's a smaller crew today as Jared and Daryl are out but Paulie, Jeff, and Case endeavor to carry on with the show in a throwback to an older version of the show. There was a lot of news this week and the guys work hard to cover it all. UofL hosted fall sports media day earlier in the week and followed it up with a release of the full women's basketball non-conference schedule. Payton Verhulst has continued to perform well in the U19 FIBA Women's World Cup, so the guys look at the USA's march to the semifinals. Finally, there is officially a game on the schedule, as Louisville women's soccer opens with an exhibition against Ball State.
