EPISODE 239 - Clark opens the show by marking the historic achievement accomplished by Shohei Ohtani who became the only MLB player to hit at least 50 home runs and steal 50 bases in one season. On cue, there will be a Topps Now card to commemorate the incredible achievement.
Then in this special Friday episode, Clark plays an interview he had with Karlos Diego (aka Sluggers55) live in person in Hyung's studio where he brought some monster cards to show and tell including the Michael Jordan 1984 Star Rookie Card as well as the 1986 Fleer Rookie Card of MJ (and which one he considers the true rookie.)
He also brought some amazing vintage cards and shares stories of how he acquired all of them and what he looks for when buying vintage at shows as well as the value of some of these cards.
They also talk about what he likes about some of the upcoming card shows such as the local CSC show on Sunday, Sept. 22 and the Fanatics Collect Orlando Show in November where he'll be setting up.

EPISODE 238 - Clark, Hyung and John kick off the show by talking about the Topps Now U.S. Olympic non-autograph 1/1 of LeBron, KD, Curry and how Geoff Wilson's offer of $25K wasn't good enough for the seller. The guys then discuss at what price they would sell it for.
The guys then move on to "Hobby Headlines" and rate three baseball card sets that were recently released including the 2024 Bowman Chrome. They also talk prospecting and which players to potentially target.
Clark then hosts "Quiz Show" again with Hyung and John answering the questions. Today's theme was football QBs.
Lastly, they play their regular weekly scheduled game called "Pick 1" where they each put up two cards and then debate which one they'd rather invest in.

EPISODE 237 - Clark, Hyung and John open the show by reacting to the news of the $1.7M sale of the 1961-62 Fleer rookie card of Wilt Chamberlain. Was this a good deal and would any of the guys take the Chamberlain card over the Victor Wembanyama Topps Chrome superfractor autograph?
Then the guys dive deeper into the news of Shohei Ohtani signing a long-term exclusive deal with Topps/Fanatics. Specifically what it might potentially mean for collectors beyond having more access to Ohtani autograph cards. They also touch upon the impact of the hobby internationally as a result of this signing.
Clark then hosts another round of "Would You Rather" with Hyung and John participating by answering which of the two scenarios they would select for each question.
Lastly, they play their regular weekly scheduled game called "Pick 1" where they each put up two cards and then debate which one they'd rather invest in.

EPISODE 236 - Clark, Hyung, and John are back together again for this Friday episode! They open the show discussing the hype of the Topps Now U.S. Olympic Basketball cards with the short print, parallel and the 1/1 triple autograph card of LeBron, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant being shipped out.
They also talk about how those randomly inserted short print cards are now in special packs to be ripped (or sold as one did for $2,500!)
Then for the Friday discussion, the guys talk football cards, specifically about whether the 2023 Topps Composite Football set will be a hit amongst collectors as it's an unlicensed product (and if there are any similarities to the recent release of Topps Chrome Basketball.)
They end off the show making their Super Bowl picks for this upcoming season.

EPISODE 235 - Clark and Hyung open the show recapping their thoughts on Fanatics Fest NYC before discussing whether the hype of the 2023-24 Topps Chrome Basketball release is warranted.
Then the guys dive a little deeper into the state of the current sports card market after observing more and more high-end, rare cards are bouncing back from recent sales that seemingly have hit a bottom. They also look into the CardLadder indexes, which show some categories back in the green when the data is filtered to show year-to-date numbers.
Afterward, Clark plays Over/Under with Hyung who must guess whether the recent sale of four cards went over or under the dollar amount Clark gives for each card (ie. Victor Wembanyama Silver Prizm rookie card; Shohei Ohtani Bowman Chrome rookie autograph card.)
Finally, they play their weekly Pick 1 segment where they both pick two cards and they each debate which one they'd rather invest in.

EPISODE 234 - Clark opens the show recapping all the major bounty offers announced for the Topps Now Triple Autograph Card featuring LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry. And he plays Pick 1 with the listeners asking them which offer they would choose.
Then, Clark plays clips from the Michael Rubin and Travis Scott talk at Fanatics Fest NYC and provides commentary on the topics covered on that panel.
The clips also give some insight on how Fanatics Fest came together, what the event hopes to become, and on a more macro level, what Fanatics hopes to accomplish in the hobby in the future.

It's all part of his "Summer Camp" video series where he's documenting his journey of building community through baseball. You can see the series on Youtube at youtube.com/@hyungcho.
Then they play a clip from the youth camp where Clark and Hyung give an update on what happened to the Mike Trout 2009 Bowman Chrome prospect autograph card they cracked out of the BGS 9/10 case.
After submitting to PSA at Fanatics Fest, they received the grade back but it's not what they ever imagined getting!

EPISODE 232 - Clark and Hyung return from an action-packed weekend in New York City where the inaugural Fanatics Fest event just took place.
In this recap episode, they talked with hobby friends (Jeremy Lee, Darrell Chan, Denny_Cards) to discuss what they thought of the show including all the pros and cons.
They also interviewed EJ Ferrer who helped organize the show and plans for the more card-centric Fanatics Fest show in Orlando this November.
Clark also caught up with Karlos (aka Sluggers55) to get his thoughts from a vendor perspective and what could be done to improve the next Fanatics Fest experience.
And the guys also met new hobby friends (Wyverns0625 and Will aka dubpry on IG) who shared what they thought of the big event in NYC.
Finally, Clark shouts out all the people they met at Fanatics Fest for helping make this experience truly memorable.
One more thing, because they forgot to give out their podcast stickers at the event, if you want one, just DM @fivecardguys or @cardstothemoon on Instagram, and we'll send it to you if you live in the U.S. or Canada (and please rate our show if you haven't already wherever you listen to your podcasts! Thank you!)

EPISODE 231 - Clark and Hyung further discuss their thoughts on 2024 Topps Chrome Basketball and whether the unlicensed product will hold any value in the future. Plus they do a bonus Pick 1 off the top with a Victor Wembanyama 2024 Topps Chrome unlicensed insert card vs. Wemby's "No Autograph" Donruss Next Day licensed card.
Then the guys start the official Cards To The Moon countdown to Fanatics Fest where they will be recording from on Aug. 15-18. But before they leave for New York City, they discuss some of the announcements already made about the show (ie. Travis Scott exclusive event baseball cards, Big Apple Refractors in 2024 Topps Chrome Baseball only at Fanatics Fest) and give their first takes on each one.
Next, Clark plays another round of Quiz Show with Hyung. This time the topic is Most (Active) Graded Athletes of all time (according to gemrate.com).
Last, Clark and Hyung wrap up the show with their weekly segment "Pick 1" where the hosts put up two cards and then debate which they'd rather invest in.

EPISODE 230 - Clark starts the show by shouting out cardboard_preacher on IG (real name is John) who alerted the hobby of a family whose 7-year-old daughter with physical disabilites needed a wheelchair van.
John initially wanted to buy cards the family had listed on Facebook marketplace to raise money for the van. But then he found out about their story and asked his nearly 3,000 followers on Instagram to consider donating. That post was reshared and in one day, collectors raised about $13,000 on the family's gofundme page.
A week later, the gofundme goal is at $32,000 of their $40,000 goal. Again, to help contribute go read their whole story on their gofundme page.
Then Clark and Hyung end the show weighing in on the Panini Donruss Optic Football Downtown Insert card controversy. Repacks anyone?
