Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.
Finding joy in a hobby as an adult can be hard because we center our careers first. We center bills first. We center our families first. We often neglect what sparked our joy before, and some of us want to find new sparks of joy but can't stop consuming media-seems we only have just enough energy to "doom scroll".
In this episode, I discuss the "too old to start something new" problem, how to discover your interest and my own personal story of how I got into crafting with yarn.
You won't want to miss this!
Topics: hobbies for adults, finding a hobby. how to find a hobby, hobbies for beginners. benefits of hobbies. why hobbies are important

Thank you for tuning in.

In the first episode of Careening to Joy, I’m looking back at the things that made me happy at different stages of my life. Growing up, church, the Bible, and cartoons were some of my biggest sources of joy. But as I got older, my relationship with joy changed—and so did the things that made me feel most like myself.
Topics: finding joy, personal growth, adulthood, nostalgia, spirituality, church, creativity, poetry, anime, fitness, hobbies, self-discovery, happiness, and redefining joy.
