Guest was Lorena Perez, Lieutenant, Nevada State Police, Nevada Highway Patrol.  Lt. Perez discussed career employment opportunities within the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Nevada State Police.  She explained the hiring and selection process as well as the training experience to become a swore law enforcement officer.  She then discussed the variety of positions within the department; Highway Patrol; Parole & Probation; Investigative Division; Fire Marshal; and Capitol Police. She further described the pension benefits as well as the ability to transfer from division to division within the department, and the opportunity to reside anywhere within the state of Nevada.
