In this episode we are taking a closer look at "hybrid-style" or "mixed-type" international job assignment, namely the ones where the assignee's spouse or family stays in the home location while the assignee spends shorter periods at an international location, combined with virtual work from the headquarter or home location.
We will try to uncover why it is much harder to recognize in what way it influences our relationships, communication, routines, priorities, who shoulders what, what roles we play, how we define ourselves, simply how it changes us, our loved ones, and everything in-between. And of course, only if we become aware of it, we can also do something about it.
It was important to me to make "hybrid-style" assignments a topic on its own, as they are on the increase in general as well as due to limitations during Covid.

No matter in what shape or form you experience it, this series talks about tips and tricks that you can apply in your situation. 
Just like you could take vitamins and supplements to support your immune system when you feel sick, you can use these tips to alleviate the symptoms of experiencing grief and loss, as well as support the process. 
And this is important: We don't want to ignore or push away any grieving process.
