A graduate of Harvard University and Princeton University, Dr. Bharat Anand is the dean of New York University's Stern School of Business. Dr. Anand joined Harvard Business School as a member of the faculty in 1997. In 2006, he was named the Henry R. Byers Professor of Business Administration. In 2014, Dr. Anand helped launch Harvard Business School Online and played an instrumental role in the transition to online learning during the pandemic. Dr. Anand is also the chair of Harvard’s Generative AI Working Group for Teaching and Learning, and in 2018, he was appointed as the University’s Vice provost for Advances in Learning. Dr. Anand is also the author of the book The Content Trap: A Strategist’s Guide to Digital Change.

After a temporary hiatus, I am delighted to welcome everyone back with an exciting new episode. My guest today is the Executive Vice President and CFO of MFS Investment Management, Mr. Amrit Kanwal. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Southern California, Mr. Kanwal has also served as the Head of Corporate Strategy and Development at Miller Brewing Company and the Head of International Strategy at PepsiCo, among other roles. Aside from finance, Mr. Kanwal is a Board Member of U.S. Squash and SquashBusters and a national doubles champion, and he was the President of the University Club of Boston.

“Filmmaking is the ultimate team sport,” in the words of Michael Keaton. In today’s episode, we will be exploring both film and sports with entrepreneur and film producer Gotham Chopra. Mr. Chopra is a sports documentarian, media entrepreneur, producer, podcast host, director, journalist, and author. He is the co-founder of Religion of Sports and has produced several acclaimed films and documentaries including Simone Biles Rising, In the Arena: Serena Williams, Tom vs. Time with Tom Brady, McGregor Forever, and more. His work has garnered five sports Emmy Awards. Mr. Chopra has also authored multiple books, such as The Seven Spiritual Laws of Superheroes (co-authored by Deepak Chopra) and Religion of Sports: Navigating the Trials of Life Through the Games We Love. My guest today is extra special: from being my Science teacher for three years in middle school and a Biology and Computer Science teacher for over a decade, she has since been elected to represent District 32 in the South Dakota House of Representatives! A graduate of Bethel University and Black Hills State University, Ms. Nicole Uhre-Balk won a seat in the South Dakota House of Representatives this past November, moving one step closer to her goal of “balance through a stronger two-party system.” Ultimately, Ms. Uhre’s journey has truly brought “leadership from the classroom to the Capitol,” and I am thrilled to have her here today!

In honor of the twentieth episode of Careers: Charting Your Course, I am so excited to introduce our new special, “What Would AI Say?”. We have now heard from people in a large variety of fields and an array of professions, from Olympians to doctors to musicians (and with more to come). It's time to hear from a slightly different type of guest. Today, we are going to get career advice from ChatGPT. Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly prevalent in the world and is spilling into all domains; we have discussed with almost all our guests so far their views on AI and the role of AI in their respective fields. But now, we are going to see what AI would say; what is AI’s advice on one of these lines of work? In this debut of “What Would AI Say?”, we are going to talk to ChatGPT about its recommendations and views on careers in healthcare.

My guest today is oncologist and hematologist and cancer researcher Dr. Lowell Schnipper. Former Clinical Director of the Cancer Center and Chief of the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the Beth Israel Deaconess, Dr. Schnipper has over 55 years of experience in medicine. He is the Theodore W. and Evelyn G. Berenson Distinguished Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a member of the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society. Dr. Schnipper is very committed to research in oncology, and his research has made significant contributions in cancer care. Furthermore, Dr. Schnipper has been dedicated to extending cancer care to underprivileged communities, as since 2011, he has worked with two hospitals in rural Zimbabwe on the prevention of cervical cancer.
