Listen Later

Welcome to the Career Composing Podcast - Episode #5
In this episode, we interview Ryan Zaleski – Software Architect and Director of Software Engineering at TechDynamism, a technology consulting firm. As a kid, Ryan built his first computer with his dad and taught himself how to program by reading his dad’s college textbook. He’s been in the tech industry for 18 years, doing everything from Network Administration and Help Desk to Software Development and Systems Design.
We asked Ryan about the different types of roles in the software field, as well as the individual characteristics that he thinks might help someone build a successful career in the tech space. We also discussed the different organizations that employ software developers and different roles that are in the tech space but might not rely on programming expertise. For those looking to get started in the field, we cover a few different avenues including formal and informal education.
It was great talking to Ryan and we hope you enjoy listening to the show. If you have any questions or would like to chat further about your career challenges, email us at [email protected]. We may discuss them in our upcoming episodes!
