When you hear the phrase Caretakers of Creation, you may picture farmers, ranchers, conservationists, or people who own large amounts of land. But biblical stewardship isn’t a profession—it’s a responsibility shared by all of us.
In Season 2, Episode 5, Chris explains why you don’t need a farm, livestock, or even a backyard to care for God’s creation. Drawing from Psalm 24, Genesis, Deuteronomy, and Luke 16, he explores how we can faithfully steward the things God has already placed in our hands—including our bodies, food, money, homes, time, families, and influence.
This episode also offers practical ways to begin making more intentional choices without turning stewardship into a competition or an unrealistic pursuit of perfection.
Not everybody is called to farm, but everybody is called to faithfulness.

What does it really mean to steward the body God has entrusted to us?
In this episode of Caretakers of Creation, we’re joined by Dr. Ben Edwards of Veritas Wellness for a conversation inspired by 1 Corinthians 6:19–20, where Scripture reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that we are called to glorify God with them.
We discuss what biblical stewardship looks like when applied to our own health—from the food we eat and the way we move to the everyday choices that influence our physical well-being. We also explore the connection between healthy soil, nutrient-dense food, healthy bodies, and our responsibility to care well for God’s creation—including ourselves.
Caring for our health isn't about pursuing perfection or making wellness an idol. It's about recognizing that our bodies have been entrusted to us for a purpose and asking how we can care for them in a way that better equips us to serve God, our families, and others.
We also discuss the upcoming Etta Hills Farm Conference, October 8–9 in Southaven, Mississippi, where we'll take these conversations even further—connecting regenerative agriculture, food, nutrition, human health, and faithful stewardship.
Listen now, and join us this October as we continue exploring what it means to be true Caretakers of Creation.

In this episode of Caretakers of Creation, we begin unpacking Deuteronomy 11 and the powerful connection between obedience, stewardship, blessing, and the land itself.
Throughout Scripture, God repeatedly ties human behavior to the condition of creation. In Deuteronomy 11, Moses reminds Israel that the land responds differently depending on whether God’s people walk in obedience or rebellion. Rain, abundance, drought, provision, fruitfulness, and generational blessing are all connected to stewardship and covenant faithfulness.
But what does that mean for us today?
We discuss:
This conversation goes beyond agriculture. It’s about how we live, lead, consume, build, and care for creation in a way that honors the Creator.
The Earth belongs to God.
After an extended break from the podcast, we’re finally back.
In this episode, we open up about the difficult and life-changing season that led to our time away. From welcoming a newborn baby during Christmas… to enduring one of the most devastating ice storms Etta Hills Farm has ever faced, the past several months tested us physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially.
We discuss:
This episode is less about farming strategies or theology debates—and more about real life, perseverance, faith, and trusting God when things don’t go according to plan.
Sometimes stewardship means pushing forward.
