I had never thought I'd be able to do life without a mother. I thought my world had come to an end but fortunately, God keeps taking care of His own.

Asking me to 'take heart and be courageous' is easier said than done. This is a letter to my mother, letting her know the pains I'm going through. Nothing seems exciting anymore. It is really ok to cry.

I would never have imagined they'll be a time in my life where I was going to pay a visit to the mortuary. I've never seen a corpse in my life, not even by mistake, talk more of the corpse of a loved one. Death humbles everyone. Death subjects your physical body to unimaginable things. My mother while she was alive, dreaded such places. Now that has become a temporary home of her body. There's nothing as painful as death!

My siblings tried to keep the news of my mum's demise from me and wanted me to return home first before they could break the news to me. Somehow I felt something was wrong but I wasn't sure. They pulled a prank on me.
