  • The Love Doctor Saturday Selections
Years of relationships experienced in life,
Some produced joy while others brought strife.
All served to teach patience and wisdom,
For a few I was ready to abdicate my kingdom.
The ups and downs of emotions took a toll,
So many times I had to just go for a stroll.
Patience tested with foibles that brought tears,
Humour I learnt to use, to alleviate fears.
A soft tone always advisable when heated,
Keep that temper quiet and calmly seated.
Our priorities too many times had differences,
    Arguments flared threatening love's defences.
Allowing commitment to others to Trump ours,
Busy away from each other too many hours.
Forgotten special events that grew us close,
    Brain lapse on important dates,
    emotions froze.
Happy moments were had on many occasions,
If only there were far less emotional fluctuations.
Lovers must remember we are here for each other,
Not all the relatives and friends rather.
I will give you my every attention guaranteed,
Here to bring you smiles when in need.
I am here for you, us and ours, full force,
Not for others coming to the table for a four course.
Rockefeller or Gates is not my name or fate,
Accept my love, don't leave it at the gate.
    Pontiak.

  • UIC Weekly Summit Series
Jamaica government is known as a parliamentary democracy which is based on a representational system of government. Jamaica government is a constitutional monarchy and as a unitary state is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations. The Jamaican constitution was based on the Westminster and Whitehall System of Government. This means that the citizens of a country choose the individuals that govern the people. This established government tables laws that must be subscribed to by all the citizens of that country.

Monarch : The Queen of England is the head of state for the Jamaica government

Parliament : Jamaica government parliament consists of two Houses - the Jamaica government Senate or the Upper House, and a House of Representatives or the Lower House.

Senate : The Jamaica government Senate is made up of 21 senators. All senators are nominated by the Prime Minister.

House of Representatives : The Jamaican House of Representatives consists of 60 members as per the Jamaican constitution.

Is this the way Government should be by design and what ideology is the current form of Governance in Jamaica adopting. Is it hurting or helping the Country. Joseph L. Patterson will discuss the current form of Governance and the UIC's Vision for change in the form of Government. So join us in another UIC Weekly Summit Series on Sunday January 7th from 7:00pm-8:30pm EST.

  • The Love Doctor Saturday Selections.... 2016 Slow Jams ... By DJ Easy
    Love True
Love is never forced or demanded
It is freely given and received.
Love is to be revered and treasured
Disdain not the one who loves true.
Walk in love hand in hand, heart to heart,
Rejoice in it's discovery and practice.
Love each other strongly yet tenderly.
Be faithful and confident in each other.
Let none plant seeds of doubt in you.
Trust in each other's feelings and words.

  • Ska Now and Then Post Christmas
Although we are the ones buying the gifts for the kids, I never stop being amazed at the look on a kid's face when he opens a present. That's how Mary and Joseph must have felt when they first saw Jesus. A present from God.
Tonight we have a remarkable guitarist, whose career is in full bloom. Andy Bassford might as well be Jamaican because of his association with a lot of the top names in Ska, Reggae and Jazz and to prove my point, he even received an award from the Jamaica Federation of Musicians.
We also look forward to hearing  more words of guidance from Ms.Jay Sharpe on her topc, From Grief to Gratitude.
