  • Oldies but goodies of the 70s, 80s, 90s
Oldies but Goodies Reggae Legend from 60's 70's 80 Phillis Dillion U-Roy Jimmy Cliff Toots and The Maytals Dynamites Inner Circle Prince Buster.Reggae - Around 1960, in the slums of Kingston Jamaica, where the local bands were playing a musical mixture of American R&B, Caribbean, and pan-African sounds, drummers began to emphasize the afterbeat, the 2nd and 4th beats (4/4 time) in unison with the piano and guitar while the bass played walking quarter notes. The musicians called the sound "Upside-down R&B". It soon became known as "Ska". As time passed Ska slowed the beat, lost it's brass sound and morphed into "Rocksteady", performed with fewer musicians and using more harmony vocals. Around 1968 the influences of Rastafari and Africanism along with political and social unrest in Jamaica gave birth to "Reggae", with a slower, stripped-down, less "Pop-like" sound often with accents added on the 3rd beat. Today the term "Reggae" applies broadly to all the Jamaican born music that contains the original afterbeat rhythm.

  • Living Legend Negro league baseball player Larry LeGrande - Live
Ledgendary Negro league baseball player Larry LeGrande : At the age of fourteen, Larry was anchored behind the plate for the local Webster All-Stars. In the spring of 1957, the Memphis Red Sox and the Birmingham Black Barons played a game in Salem, Virginia. His decision to go had really been made a long time before this - one more summer in the hog pens would be unbearable. In 1958 LeGrande joined the line-up of the Detroit Stars owner and fellow NLB Living Legend (remembered) Ted Rasberry. He was mostly a catcher, however, sometimes he played a little right field. The Kansas City Monarchs organization, also owned by Mr. Rasberry, brought Larry into town in 1959 where he caught for the legendary Satchel Paige. Later that season, LeGrande was called upon to play for the Yankees in the Florida State (minor) League. He was released later that same season and returned to the Kansas City Monarchs. As the 1961 season came around, Larry decided to barnstorm the countryside with his good friend Satchel Paige and his Satchel Paige All-Stars. They knocked down the miles and the teams they challenged along the way, from Nebraska through Wyoming and back to Kansas City.Career: 1957-1959..Positions: c, ofTeams: Memphis Red Sox, Detroit Stars, Kansas City Monarchs Born: May 25, 1939, Roanoke, Virginia Baseball Career Highlights:I hit .300 three consecutive years (1957-1959), led the Negro Leagues in outfield assists (1958-1959) I travel to baseball shows with 'Yesterday's Stars', and play in charity golf tournaments. • Sexually transmitted infections, STDs, Venereal disease with Dr.Silverman
Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are infections that are passed from one person to another through sexual contact. The causes of STDs are bacteria, parasites, yeast, and viruses. There are more than 20 types of STDs, including
ChlamydiaGenital herpesGonorrheaHIV/AIDSHPVSyphilisMost STDs affect both men and women, but in many cases the health problems they cause can be more severe for women. If a pregnant woman has an STD, it can cause serious health problems for the baby.
Antibiotics can treat STDs caused by bacteria, yeast, or parasites. There is no cure for STDs caused by a virus, but medicines can often help with the symptoms and keep the disease under control.
Correct usage of latex condoms greatly reduces, but does not completely eliminate, the risk of catching or spreadTrichomoniasising STDs.

  • A life Review:Phenomenon reported as occurring during near-death experience
Life review. A life review is a phenomenon widely reported as occurring during near-death experiences, in which a person rapidly sees much or the totality of their life history in chronological sequence and in extreme detail.
It is often referred to by people having experienced this phenomenon as having their life "flash before their eyes". The life review is discussed in some detail by near-death experience scholars such as Raymond Moody, Kenneth Ring, and Barbara Rommer. A reformatory purpose seems commonly implicit in accounts, though not necessarily for earthly purpose, since return from a near-death experience may reportedly entail individual choice.
While experiencers, who number up to eight million in the United States, sometimes report that reviews took place in the company of otherworldly beings who shared the observation, they also say they felt unjudged during the process, leaving themselves their own strongest critics. Although rare, there are also a few accounts of life reviews or similar experiences without a near-death experience, such as during the simpler out-of-body experience or when under circumstances of intense threat or duress. Many scientists discount near-death experiences themselves and criticize their credibility. Furthermore, there is evidence suggesting cultural differences in the near-death experience, which is why some believe NDEs are hallucinatory.

  • Reggae Artist Marcia Aitken "I 'm Still in love with you Boy" Live Chat
Marcia Aitken (born c. 1962, Hannah Town, West Kingston, Jamaica) is a reggae singer best known for her recordings in the late 1970s, produced by Joe Gibbs along with Errol Thompson.
Aitken's break into the music industry came while she was still a student at Excelsior High School - in her own words: "I was singing at a school concert, and Lloyd Parks and the We the People Band was backing us. They said they liked the sound of my voice, and I became a member of the band after that. Then I began to do recordings for Joe Gibbs". She concentrated on lovers rock and recorded a popular version of the Alton Ellis song "I'm Still in Love With You" (as "I'm Still in Love with You Boy", recorded while still at Excelsior), which was a number one hit in Jamaica and successful UK and US reggae charts, and also formed the basis of Trinity's "Three Piece Suit" and Althea & Donna's "Uptown Top Ranking". She had another Jamaican number one single in 1978 with "My Man", a combination record with Trinity. She also recorded songs by Ansel Cridland of The Meditations, including "Narrow Minded Man", a response to The Meditations' chauvinistic "Woman is Like a Shadow". Aitken recorded a single album, Reggae Impact, produced by Gibbs and Willie Lindo.
After completing high school in 1981, Aitken retired from music and moved to Brooklyn, where she opened the Nostrand Eatery with her husband in 1985.

Open your arms to my embrace.
Be willing to expose your vulnerabilities,
Trust that I will be your strong armor.
In return I shall be there for you,
Through all the storms and quakes.
Through all the trials and tears,
My shoulder will be your strong oak.
My love is undying and granite,
Yet my heart for you is soft velvet.
Come with me and invest in us,
    Love has bridged our differences.
    Together we shall be unstoppable,
