Dream Love

Dreams of us permeates my nights so thrilling,

In them you are indeed, to me, loving so willing.

The passion we share there is so intense,

The love between us all wrongs do cleanse.

The words you utter each night, promise fidelity,

That flame in your eyes burn bright in sincerity.

The moments we share, full of sweet delights,

A world built just for us, two lovers in heat,

The strength of our feelings keeps us upbeat.

If in reality, this type of love we could obtain,

Together we would ride a passionate love train.

Would that what we have, could match the dreams,

Our time together, would produce passion screams.

To hold you close, as in my dreams and make love,

To feel your softness in my arms, my tender dove.

My love for you, transcends all planes of existence,

Reality or dreamland, I love you with true persistence.

A member of the classic first wave of Jamaican ska artists, Derrick Morgan was among the genre's founding fathers, emerging alongside pioneers including the Skatalites, Laurel Aitken, Prince Buster, and Desmond Dekker. Born in March, 1940, Morgan was raised in the Kingston area, exposed to a variety of musical sources spanning from New Orleans R&B to the choral music of the nearby church where his father served as deacon. At the age of 17, he took top honors at the annual Vere John's Opportunity talent show, delivering blistering renditions of Little Richard's "Long Tall Sally" and "Jenny Jenny," and in 1959 teamed with producer Duke Reid to record his debut single "Lover Boy." Morgan's follow-up, "Fat Man," was a smash throughout Jamaica, and he later scored with recordings of "Leave Earth" and "Wigger Wee Shuffle," both cut with the legendary Clement "Coxsone" Dodd.

Celebrating Jamaica SKA music with Alphanso Castro

Music historians typically divide the history of ska into three periods: the original Jamaican scene of the 1960s; the 2 Tone ska revival of the late 1970s in Britain, which fused Jamaican ska rhythms and melodies with the faster tempos and harder edge of punk rock; and the third wave of ska, which involved bands from the UK, other European countries (notably Germany), Australia, Japan, South America and the United States, beginning in the 1980s and peaking in the 1990s.

There are special categories of near-death experiences (NDEs) which "stand out" from other NDEs. One such special category is the NDEs of Hollywood stars. They are rich and famous, have nothing to gain by telling the world about their NDE, but risk losing everything by doing so. People who reveal their NDEs to others are often thought to be crazy and can lead to negative consequences. Another special category is the NDEs of children. Young children often do not have a religious bias nor have they been exposed to other NDE testimonials; yet, their NDEs are the same as adult NDEs. Another special category is the NDEs of pet owners who have a deceased pet they have loved dearly - often as dearly as a family member
