  • Love Doctor Saturday Vibez Musical Zone
    Wet Plans.
Another day to face, time to wash off the past,
Now awake and memories of yesterday loom.
Set that temperature so the water is just right,
A cascade of warm wetness to soothe me.
The past day a fading memory washed away,
Soaked in lather and fresh smelling scents.
Plans for the new day formulating in my mind,
Eager to venture out into the sunshine now.
Her last words on my mind, "See you soon?"
"Yes" was my reply, so eager for her hugs.
Trying hard to fit her into my hectic schedule,
Knowing how imperative it is to make time.
So much love for her that it truly hurts each time,
That I find it impossible to get to her side.
But today again I plan the day in my mind,
Fervently praying it goes as so carefully planned.
Patience with me is all I can ask of her in earnest,
For my love is true and straight for her indeed.
Dear lord heed my cry and put your hand in this,
For if not, you know I will abandon your deeds for her.

  • The Legend King Yellowman Live Chat
Winston Foster grew up in a Catholic orphanage called Alpha Boys School in Kingston, and was shunned due to having albinism, which was not typically socially accepted in Jamaica. Alpha Boys School was known for its musical alumni. In the late 1970s Yellowman first gained wide attention when he won a contest event in Kingston, Jamaica, called the Tastee Talent Contest where deejays would perform toasting. Like many Jamaican deejays, he honed his talents by frequently performing at outdoor sound-system dances. In 1981, after becoming significantly popular throughout Jamaica, Yellowman became the first dancehall artist to be signed to a major American label (Columbia Records). One reviewer of Yellowman was quoted as saying "Listening to Yellowman sing is like watching Michael Jordan play basketball. He knows he's got it, you know he's got it, and it's a trip just experiencing him perform

  • Lively Up Your Self Do they SKA with Alphanso Castro
Originated in Jamaica in the late 1950s, Ska came before musical styles such as Rocksteady and Reggae. Ska is a combined musical element of Caribbean Mento and Calypso with a bit of American Jazz and also Rhythm and Blues. It separates itself from other musical genres due to its walking bass line accented with rhythms on the upbeat. In the early 1960s, Ska was the dominant music genre of Jamaica and was popular with the other communities as well, including the British Community.
