(CNN)Bill Cosby said he had sexual relationships with at least five women outside his marriage, gave prescription sedatives to women he wanted to have sex with and tried to hide the affairs from his wife, according to a court deposition obtained by CNN.

The deposition, first reported by the New York Times, was taken 10 years ago and stems from a civil lawsuit filed by Andrea Constand -- one of two dozen women who have publicly accused the comedian of sexual assault over four decades, often alleging he gave them some sort of drug without their knowledge. CNN independently obtained a copy of the full deposition.Cosby, 78, has never been criminally charged and has vehemently denied wrongdoing. In the deposition he says the sex and drug-taking were always consensual.

What does it mean to be assertive? How do we learn assertiveness skills? Why do we need to be assertive? Who is responsible to practice assertiveness? When is it necessary to be assertive? Join us this week as we discuss learning about assertiveness and how it works best. We will talk about the importance of being assertive and how to express that in a healthy way. Please join us, listen, and share your experiences of assertiveness and how you experience positive and not so positive experiences as a result! Let’s talk about it!

Although everyone acts in passive and aggressive ways from time to time, such ways of responding often result from a lack of self-confidence and are, therefore, inappropriate ways of interacting with others.

This page examines the rights and responsibilities of assertive behaviour and aims to show how assertiveness can benefit you. You may also be interested in our pages on Self-Esteem and Negotiation.
