Question:Where is our Math and why so many Caribbean people are intimidating, having apprehension or fear while learning math.
Why teachers, students and parents have difficulty learning math? The Chinese have their own math, the Islamic have their own math, the Jews have their own math, the Caucasian European Americans have their own math. Where is our Math? The Caucasian Americans taught us their limited Curriculum of learning math. This is called Conventional math, or Conceptual math. We were taught to under stand, for too long we have been under the stand of learning math. Caucasian so-called white people under standing of math is called SPWOL system of learning. Spwol as an acronym means Slave Plantation Way Of Learning. They taught us Times Table as low, they call highest, 12 X 12 and stop. Graspmatyx is Perceptual math, based on 4 principles. Perception, Reasoning, Rhythm and Restoration. Our Times Table starts at zero to nine nine (they call ninety nine) and above mentally. [email protected]

  • The Game Changer: "Being true to ourselves in love" fulfilled in relationship
Finding a good relationship with myself seemed an even harder task! As things eventually turned out, I found myself failing miserably in my early relationships because I had insufficient or little self-love.
Upon deeper analysis, I found out that self-esteem and self-love are issues that are often related together. If you suffer from low self esteem, it is possible that the the root cause is a case of insufficient self-love. And so, you have found it difficult to find that little bit of love for yourself. Loving yourself feels unnatural for a start because your mind has been ingrained with self sabotaging thoughts for the longest time.
However, nothing is going to happen if you do not make a conscious decision. And that includes attracting abundance. When you don’t love yourself, you are basically telling the Universe that you are unworthy or undeserving of any love or positive outcomes that have the same vibrational match as love.
Learning to love yourself starts with making a conscious decision, an intention to become happy and lead a fulfilled life. When you do not love yourself and suffer from low self esteem, it is almost impossible to ever reach the potential that you suspect you have.

  • Live chat:Sacrifice are you willing to make if your relationship becomes sexless
When there is no sex within a marriage or a romantic relationship the couple will sometimes consult me together, but most often it is just one of them. You might think it would always be the dissatisfied partner but it can be the one who is refusing sex too. I always ask what reasons they give themselves or their mate for their refusal. What follows are a few I have heard more than once.1. “I’m just not interested in sex any more.” Man or woman, I ask first about hormonal issues. Menopause or childbirth can cause a woman to lose her libido, but it isn’t necessarily so. Men may have a lower than normal testosterone for a number of reasons.2. “My partner no longer turns me on.” This is a more difficult situation but not impossible. The complainer usually gives a “reason” such as the partner’s weight gain or unwillingness to engage in the type of sex s/he prefers.3. “We’re too old for sex” or “I can’t have intercourse any longer.” Mistaken beliefs such as an age cut off for sexual activity or that sex depends on erections and naturally lubricated vaginas eliminates much joy from an individual’s life. 4. “We’ve just fallen out of the habit”. This happens more often than you might think. Some event like illness or a new baby will interrupt the couple’s normal sexual schedule, supposedly temporarily, but sexual relations just don’t resume.5. "I’m in love with/infatuated with someone else.” This does not necessarily preclude sex with one’s regular partner. It’s sad when a once loving couple no longer express that love sexually. However, people and situations change and must be accommodated in some way

Ernie Smith (born Glenroy Anthony Michael Archangelo Smith, May 1945, Kingston, Jamaica) is a reggae singer, with a deep baritone voice, who had his greatest success in the late 1960s and 1970s.
Fab 5, formed in 1970, is Jamaica's pre eminent popular band, whether measured by record sales at home, hits on the charts, frequency of engagements or major awards won over the years.Their first recording, "Come Back And Stay", was number one in Jamaica, and in their first year on the road, and for the following two years, they won the only available awards, the Swing Awards for best band of 1971-72, 1972-73 and 1973-74. They also took the El Suzie Award as Joint Top Road and Dance Band for 1975-76 and the RJR Listeners' Award for Best Band in 1980.They backed Johnny Nash on all the reggae cuts comprising most of his platinum album "I Can See Clearly Now". Two singles from that album, "Guava Jelly" and "Stir It Up", established Bob Marley as a major songwriter on the international scene.Fab 5 have enjoyed an endless succession of hits in Jamaica and the "ethnic" markets of North America. In their early years such songs as "Chirpy Cheep", "Shaving Cream", "Oh, Dad" and "Love Me For A Reason", and their musicality and showmanship made Fab 5 the rage on the dance and show circuits.More recently, they have been kept on top by the likes of "Yu Safe", "Ring Road Jam", "Feeling Horny", "Computer Mad", "What The Police High Command Can Do", "Jamaican Woman", "Psalms", "All Night Party", "Mini", "Sweat", "Don't Wear None", "Freeze", "Good Buddy", "Mango" and their "Live" series.

  • LIVE:Jamaican Herbs as medicne & food.A look at Kola Nut,Cho Cho,Comfrey&Ganja
An essential oil is a concentrated hydrophobic liquid containing volatile aroma compounds from plants. Essential oils are also known as volatile oils, ethereal oils, aetherolea, or simply as the "oil of" the plant from which they were extracted, such as oil of clove. An oil is "essential" in the sense that it carries a distinctive scent, or essence, of the plant.Essential oils do not form a distinctive category for any medical, pharmacological, or culinary purpose. They are not essential for health.
Essential oils are generally extracted by distillation, often by using steam. Other processes include expression or solvent extraction. They are used in perfumes, cosmetics, soaps and other products, for flavoring food and drink, and for adding scents to incense and household cleaning products.
Essential oils have been used medicinally in history. Medical applications proposed by those who sell medicinal oils range from skin treatments to remedies for cancer and often are based solely on historical accounts of use of essential oils for these purposes. Claims for the efficacy of medical treatments, and treatment of cancers in particular, are now subject to regulation in most countries. As the use of essential oils has declined in evidence-based medicine, one must consult older textbooks for much information on their use.
Interest in essential oils has revived in recent decades with the popularity of aromatherapy, a branch of alternative medicine that claims that essential oils and other aromatic compounds have curative effects. Oils are volatilized or diluted in a carrier oil and used in massage, diffused in the air by a nebulizer, heated over a candle flame, or burned as incense.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essential_oil.

  • I was just thinking...forgotten and marginalized stories in the news.
When I listen to mainstream news I am appalled at the lack of information and the preponderance of emotionally racist commentary in the guise of network news.
The press [media, print and digital] is called the fourth estate.  The office is there to critique and call into question and scrutinize the government, politicians, and corporations on behalf of the people, although that was not the original meaning.
“The Fourth Estate (or fourth power) is a societal or political force or institution...”Fourth Estate" most commonly refers to the news media, especially print journalism or "the press".” Earlier writers have applied the term to lawyers, to the British queens consort (acting as a free agent, independent of the king), and to the proletariat.
The common man like me and you should scrutinize what we are being force fed and cry out about injustices. That’s what the internet has become a way in which ordinary people can voice their opinions and objects.  But, now the media alone is called the fourth estate-- the ones who are a societal or political force, but they rarely work on behalf of the people.

  • Sport Chat:Fewer BLACKS playing Major League Baseball today than two decade ago
Fewer African-Americans are playing in Major League Baseball today than two decades ago. The percentage was 8.5 percent on this season's Opening Day rosters.
Commissioner Bud Selig announced on Wednesday the formation of a task force to tackle the issue of on-field diversity.
New data, though, demonstrates that the decline in African-America players, while steep, isn't as precipitous as widely believed. The accepted wisdom is that the high-water mark was reached in 1975, when it was reported that 27 percent of big leaguers were African-Americans. But exhaustive research by Mark Armour, a member of the Society for American Baseball Research, shows that the actual number never exceeded 19 percent.
"To be fair, the numbers have dropped,'' said Armour. "I believe the numbers have dropped from 18-19 percent, which is what they were for about two decades.
"From the 1970s through the '90s, the numbers were in the high teens. Now they're half that," said Armour, who writes software for the Environmental Protection Agency.
"What I determined, and I [analyzed data from 1947, when Jackie Robinson made his debut] up to 1986 ... is that the number never got to 20 percent. The black-player number, counting all dark-skinned players, was in the high 20s for a period. But not the African-American number. All the press stuff that comes out every April compares the African-American numbers from today with the all-black-players number from the '70s. And that's where they make their mistake."

  • Live:Norman Humble Lion Lawerence-Unscrupulous Promoters & Reggae Industry ills
Norman Lawrence also known as Humble Lion is a radio personality and advertising consultant with a career spanning over twenty five years. Norman who is from the cool hills of Mandeville Jamaica was inspired by two of his older brothers. Michael Lawrence was a part of Mystic Generation band and did a lot of work with the then fledgling careers of Garnett Silk, Everton Blender, Uton Green, General Degree and much more. Charles Lawrence who was raised by his Mom in Port Antonio was the owner of the now defunct foundation sound system Taurus International. Norman volunteered to spend every summer in Portland because he was fascinated with the sound system and the various dances that it played at.Norman was also highly influenced by top radio personalities in Jamaica like Jeff “Free I” Dixon and Barry “Barry G” Gordon from as far back as he can remember and always knew he would have a career in radio. In 1987 he migrated with his family to South Florida but relocated to NY in 1989. In NY he was influenced by people like Ken Williams and Clinton Lindsay. It was actually Clinton Lindsay who gave Norman his first opportunity on radio on WNWK 105.9fm. Although the show aired 3-6am on Wednesday mornings, he saw it as a great opportunity to be on radio in the city that never sleeps. The show was dubbed “Reggae Alert” and was co-hosted by Veniece “Dub Wonder” Fung Chung. Norman known as Larro Dread back then worked at Dub Wonder Records in Queens NY and met Clinton through Veniece who was the owner. In 1993 Norman moved to Philadelphia where he did the “Conscious Party” on WPEB 88.1fm Sunday nights between 6-10pm. It was while doing this show he received the name Humble Lion from the community which describes his two distinct natures. Always very quiet and unassuming, but as they say “don’t wake the sleeping lion”. Norman also philosophized this as the two natures of Christ.
