Ever wonder what attracts a younger man to an older woman? I asked my cub that very question and here's what he said.

I recently got an email from an anonymous cougar who wonders why younger men like older women. She’s had a relationship with a young man and described it as torture-- she was always worried he was comparing her to younger women.

Well, I've got news for you. He’s already compared you with girls his age. They came up silly, slutty, and boring. You came up intriguing, sexy, and exciting. He went with you. I too have often wondered about this, so I investigated further, interviewing my cub, Michael. Here’s how the conversation went:

HOW TO LOVE A BLACK MAN —

Part 1 (Dr. Jamal Bryant)

Four C’s On How to Love a Black Man.

1.Cheerleader.

Every woman involved with a black man has to learn how to be a cheerleader. A cheerleader is of no consequence when the team is winning. When the team has scored a touch down, you can’t hear the cheerleaders because the whole stadium is ecstatic and excited. Cheerleaders are necessary after a tackle,a hit or an injury.Every black man yearns to have some body on the sidelines who will cheer for him when he’s not making progress.

2.

Conditioner.

a)Hair Conditioner.A.conditioner is something that improves the quality of

another matter. Every woman is supposed to condition, or improve a man’s

quality of life. Most heterosexual men only use shampoo, while most women

who take care of their hair use shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is incomplete by itself. The conditioner is the sealant. Women need to understand that they are incomplete without men, and vice versa. When we connect, we seal and complement each other. The conditioner does several things

The term “One-hit wonder” is usually seen as insult; however that should not the case when it comes to these artists.  Many of the artists on this list paved the way for innovative changes to reggae and dancehall.  It is also best to have one big hit than no hits at all as that one hit can make a great impact.  The following are our reggae and dancehall top 10 “One-hit wonders”. An essential oil is a concentrated hydrophobic liquid containing volatile aroma compounds from plants. Essential oils are also known as volatile oils, ethereal oils, aetherolea, or simply as the "oil of" the plant from which they were extracted, such as oil of clove. An oil is "essential" in the sense that it carries a distinctive scent, or essence, of the plant.Essential oils do not form a distinctive category for any medical, pharmacological, or culinary purpose. They are not essential for health.

Essential oils are generally extracted by distillation, often by using steam. Other processes include expression or solvent extraction. They are used in perfumes, cosmetics, soaps and other products, for flavoring food and drink, and for adding scents to incense and household cleaning products.

Essential oils have been used medicinally in history. Medical applications proposed by those who sell medicinal oils range from skin treatments to remedies for cancer and often are based solely on historical accounts of use of essential oils for these purposes. Claims for the efficacy of medical treatments, and treatment of cancers in particular, are now subject to regulation in most countries. As the use of essential oils has declined in evidence-based medicine, one must consult older textbooks for much information on their use.

Interest in essential oils has revived in recent decades with the popularity of aromatherapy, a branch of alternative medicine that claims that essential oils and other aromatic compounds have curative effects. Oils are volatilized or diluted in a carrier oil and used in massage, diffused in the air by a nebulizer, heated over a candle flame, or burned as incense.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essential_oil.

Here we are in the middle of February and this month thanks to Carter G. Woodson has grown from his original vision of a week of celebration to a month with a lead-in of the birthdays of Martin Luther King and Malcolm X.

We will also listen to a interpretation of the speaches of Marcus Garvey recount the problems, abilities and acomplishments of our people.

Now, I want to take a pause here because we need to see what happened his parents were ex-enslaved and in one generation, like many of our families rose to the heights of education from our past of enslavement. Either we were entirely lucky or we had superior intelligence that could not be crushed to the ground even after 400 years of slavery.  How was it possible for our people to have an abundance of scholarship come out to such a heinous crime?

Before our enslavement we were nation builders, architects, well versed in animal husbandry and astronomy and farming. We were irons workers and black smiths, teachers and griots brought to America [a land we had traveled and settled colonies before Columbus] to return to cultivate and build a land for those Europeans who desired to be kings and gentry of the so-called New World.

Come take a listen or join in the conversation:

Black History is World History

Background: Reggae - Around 1960, in the slums of Kingston Jamaica, where the local bands were playing a musical mixture of American R&B, Caribbean, and pan-African sounds, drummers began to emphasize the afterbeat, the 2nd and 4th beats (4/4 time) in unison with the piano and guitar while the bass played walking quarter notes. The musicians called the sound "Upside-down R&B". It soon became known as "Ska". As time passed Ska slowed the beat, lost it's brass sound and morphed into "Rocksteady", performed with fewer musicians and using more harmony vocals. Around 1968 the influences of Rastafari and Africanism along with political and social unrest in Jamaica gave birth to "Reggae", with a slower, stripped-down, less "Pop-like" sound often with accents added on the 3rd beat. Today the term "Reggae" applies broadly to all the Jamaican born music that contains the original afterbeat rhythm.
