This week on Time For Heroes, I sat down with Carl Alty, drummer of cult band Joanna, who are finally unleashing their long‑awaited debut album Hello Flower on 5th December Hello Flower | Joanna —a staggering 35 years after it was first intended.

Carl takes us back to the band’s beginnings: the raw energy of their formation, the highs of their early days, and the heartbreak of their sudden split. We dig into the decades that followed—what life looked like away from the spotlight, how unfinished music lingered in a Manchester loft, and what it means to finally bring Hello Flower into the world after all this time.
