I recently was invited by Kaleb Bench and Brandon Fugal to travel north on an to explore the mysterious Skinwalker Ranch and its surroundings. Following a tip from a friend who manages a local art museum, I set off on a wild hunt for petroglyphs and pictographs. My search took me to a canyon north of Skinwalker Ranch, where I discovered a panel of ancient carvings and a tall red figure with a headdress, possibly depicting a shaman. The site featured multiple layers of symbols, some in white pigment and others carved into the rock.

I spent time connecting with the energy of the place, pondering its supernatural aspects, and considering its potential connection to the indigenous mapping system that could date back thousands of years. This system might link locations of significance and supernatural phenomena across the region. The team at Skinwalker Ranch has recently discovered petroglyphs using technology that revealed them from hundreds of years of weathering and fading, but they match.

Petroglyphs are carved into the rock and pictographs are usually painted onto the wall with ochre or some other pigment. The style of pictograph is considered the Fremont style and is associated with the Fremont Culture, which dates back 2,000 years ago. What is even more intriguing is how the red ochre figure is nearly the same as one over 400 miles away in southern Utah on the edge of Arizona. Depictions of a entity, a Shaman, the Star People, a Guardian of the spirit realm as he comes and goes through “portals” or doorways of another dimension. The same spirals, ripples, and circles with the same figure emerging into the forefront.

I was invited to visit Skinwalker Ranch in Utah, a place infamous for its paranormal and UFO activities. I had the chance to explore the area, investigate some never before seen or filmed petroglyphs, and delve into the mysteries of ancient history surrounding the Secret of Skinwalker Ranch. I filmed, and will share my experiences, discoveries, and some insider tips for those planning to visit Skinwalker Ranch themselves. There is a right and a wrong way to travel to Vernal, Utah and through the Native American Reservation lands — and my NEW documentary series will explore all the best ways to travel to the most well know locations like Skinwalker Ranch. Throughout my trip, I documented my behind-the-scenes experiences, sharing the best places to stay, eat, and explore while visiting the area.

My journey began at the front gate of the ranch, where the long dirt road leading to the security gate is covered with an array of security cameras. I couldn’t wait to connect with Kaleb and the Skinwalker Ranch insiders crew, who granted me access to the property. During my stay, I visited several petroglyph sites, some of which I had never seen before. I faced some challenges, such as bad weather and the risk of getting a flat tire due to the trash and nails on the ground, but I persevered and continued to make new discoveries. By day 2 I started finding significant locations and artifacts that never stopped until I had to come home at the end of my research trip. I also took the opportunity to explore the town of Vernal, a place rich in history and art, visited local museums, restaurants, and really amazing haunted locations around town you may not know about.

In Vernal, I met with my friend Randy, an expert in ancient locations and artifacts, who owns an art shop that showcases beautiful handmade pieces and mesmerizing photography. I also visited a local museum that displayed Native American artifacts, some of which are said to be haunted. Then, while in town, I tried out several restaurants, including the 7-Eleven Ranch restaurant, an old-school diner that served delicious country-fried steak. I also stopped by a gift shop to buy some Uintah Basin swag before heading back to Skinwalker Ranch.
